Herzog went 11/25 with 233 yards, 3TDs and 0INTs.rnI’m incredibly impressed by how #1 performed, as he was calm in the offense, went through progressions, and limited mistakes. When the pocket collapsed, Tyler would roll out before throwing on the run or throwing the ball away at the absolute last moment.
I’m looking forward to seeing him face off against Berkley next week
Highlights
Kinnie rushed for 3 touchdowns and threw for 1.rnThe Maples QB is not your typical QB, that’s because of a Veer offense that only passes the ball a few times per game. Despite an early turnover, Colton Kinnie Colton Kinnie 6’2″ | 225 lbs | QB Seaholm | 2024 State MI was lights-out with his reads and ran the ball with immense power. His running greatly helped tire out the defense, and without him, the Veer gameplan doesn’t work. His few passes were also accurate.rn Colton Kinnie Colton Kinnie 6’2″ | 225 lbs | QB Seaholm | 2024 State MI did his job, did it extremely well.
Highlights
DeShawn Robinson
DeShawn Robinson
Defensively, DeShawn posted 2 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 fumble recovery. He was also Avondale’s best offensive lineman this week.
DeShawn has been a beast since his freshman year, and is O-Line play was good against a dominant Maple front 7. He was a vocal leader on both sides, and is an absolute asset to this program. Biggest pros to his game are his balance, size, and power.
Denzel quietly had a great game for the Yellowjackets, totaling 10 tackles including a sack. He just has a knack for the football, and wasn’t afraid to get in on any nearly tackle, or take a man head-on.
Noah Bates
Noah Bates
Bates tallied 118 yards and 1TD on 4 receptions. Both him and Cooper Voeffray had great games, and tore it up in the first half.
Noah made some tough catches and was targeted plenty of times. He ran his routes well and at the correct depths, and finished his plays.
Cooper had more volume with 6 catches, and overall played the same crisp, route-runner play that Noah did. Neither did anything too flashy, but they did their jobs well
The Entire Seaholm Front 7 and Offensive Line
Dylan Buese, Luke Thruswell, Zach Miketa, John Jokisch John Jokisch 6'4" | 235 lbs | DL Seaholm | 2023 State MI , Brenden Barrett, and others all deserve credit. The linemen of this Seaholm team are physical, gritty, and tough. Their offense was running well in the 1st, but they made the Avondale defense looked defeated by quarter 2.
The Seaholm defense stopped the run all game, and they were extremely disruptive. Overall, everyone deserves credit on the line. Hats off to Coach DeWald, Bazner (the goat), and others for build ing this line to what it is today.
