This week’s Marc D’ Men include an Alabama commit, a top rusher in the Class of 2024, a hard hitting linebacker, a playmaking cornerback and a wide receiver who played big despite his size.

Tatum is a workhorse in the Lobo backfield. He runs with power, bursts through arm tackles routinely, has great short area quickness with the ability to explode past defenders in the open field and is threat for a quick six from any distance on the football field. Taylor has the build to withstand a heavy workload that elite backs tend to carry. His patience in the hole and ability to read his blocks well enable him to wear down Lobo opponents. Tatum left no doubt that he was one of the Lobo Marc D’ Men, rushing for two touchdowns in a 21-13 victory of Lancaster. Taylor is a top ranked running back in the Class of 2024 Prep Red Zone Texas rankings.

At 6’1 185 pounds, Hale has the frame that colleges covet in a wide receiver. Jalen has a large catch radius, explodes in and out of his breaks and has the speed to get vertical in a hurry. Against Lancaster, Hale had a touchdown catch and run that showed off skill set. He caught a pass in traffic, shook off a defender and quickly shifted gears up field and used his speed to get the Lobos on the board. Hale has all the traits that next level receivers possess, which made him one of the Marc D’ Men for Longview. Jalen is ranked #7 in the state and the #2 wide receiver in the Prep Red Zone Texas rankings in the Class of 2023.

Boone has great speed , which allows him to cover of ground quickly defensively and he makes plays from sideline to sideline. He takes great angles to make tackles in the open field and is a sure tackler. Boone keep his shoulders square at the point of attack and doesn’t over run plays. Boone plays the passing lanes like a veteran and has made several interceptions this season, returning one for a touchdown. Against Lancaster, Boone made a big play as the Tigers were in the red zone. The quarterback rolled out and looked back over the middle and didn’t see Boone lurking and he made a game changing interception. That big time takeaway by Boone left no doubt that he is one the Lobo Marc D’ Men. At the next level Boone projects as a safety because of his good speed and his ability to tackle well.

Rougely has a long, athletic frame that enables him to be effective off the edge for the Longview Lobos. He has a great first step, runs the arch well, has excellent bend and his closing speed makes him a weapon on the Lobo defense. Against Lancaster, Rougely was a menace, who had several tackles for loss, brought constant pressure off the edge, which helped the Lobo defense close out the game in the fourth quarter. At the next level, Jeremiah has the skills that would allow him to be an effective stand up outside linebacker and his frame would allow him to add bulk. He definitely has the game that Marc D’ Men possess.

Nelson is a ballhawk from his safety position. He runs the alleys in run support under control and takes proper angles. Nelson is a sure tackler in the open field. Willie has great instincts, has disciplined eyes and his read and react ability in pass coverage allows him to play the passing lanes effectively. Nelson has great range and tracks the ball well in flight when the football is thrown in his area. He excels on special teams as a returner showing off his speed, quickness, shiftiness and the ability to accelerate in the open field. Nelson possesses the traits that colleges covet at the safety position and stood out as a one the Marc D’ Men on the Longview defense. Willie is ranked in the Prep Red Zone Texas Class of 2024 rankings at #79overall in the state and is the # 11 ranked defensive back.

Hampton has the skill set that defensive backs at the next level possess. He plays fast, has fluid hips, transitions into his backpedal smoothly and has excellent short area quickness. Hampton uses hands well in press coverage to redirect his opponent when playing in press coverage. His ability to aggressively tackle in open space make him an asset in run support. For most of the night against Longview, Hampton went head to head with Alabama commit Jalen Hale Jalen Hale 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR Longview | 2023 State TX . Jaitlin had a highlight reel one handed interception in the end zone to keep Hale from scoring and showed his value on special teams by blocking a punt. This Marc D’ Men performance by Hampton displayed his value as cornerback at the next level.

Boulieu plays fast, hits like a truck, has the speed to make plays from any angle within the Tiger defensive scheme and is the quarterback of the Lancaster defense. Noah has great instincts, has the ability to read and diagnose plays quickly and plays under control. He plays the passing lanes well, which lead to an interception in the second half to stop a Longview drive. Boulieu has the traits that next level linebackers possess, he has an athletic, big frame, he is a thumper and has the speed to cover backs out of the backfield. He had a Marc D’ Men performance against Longview. Noah is ranked #180 overall in the state and the #22 ranked linebacker in the Prep Red Zone Texas Class of 2023 rankings.

Martin is a go to guy on the Lancaster Tigers offense. He can hit a defense from all angles no matter where the offense lines up and is a weapon in the return game on special teams. Martin runs crisp routes, gets in and out his breaks quickly, has the ability to change gears in a hurry and has the elite speed to separate from defenders. He has a compact, stout build and is twitchy with great hip flexibility. Against Longview, Martin was the best player on the field, catching 15 passes for 143 yards and a touchdown. His toughness and grit make him a dangerous weapon and his no fear mentality allows him to excel when catching passes in traffic. Martin is lethal in the open field, has the quickness to cut on a dime and he breaks tackles because of his powerful running style after the catch. His impressive showing against Longview made him one of the Marc D’ Men on the field. TI’ Eric is ranked as an athlete in the Prep Red Zone Texas rankings coming at #107 overall and the #14 best athlete in the state.
