This week is the make or break week when it comes to Nebraska’s High School Football season. Classes A through C-2 all Play 9 games in the season. We are perfectly in the middle of the season. Some teams who have stumbled have 5 games to regain themselves and have a chance at the playoffs. Teams with no losses could fall from the top and the teams at the bottom cam rise.
Week 4 Recap
Last week we had a few games go off and score with tons of offensive production. One of those games was between Omaha North and Benson. The game started off close as all these games do. The Vikings would go up 7-3 by the end of the first quarter. In the second both teams would keep the game close, North would go up 14-10 at half over the Bunnies. The second half was dominated by the Vikings. Omaha North would go on a 28-0 scoring speed, scoring 14 points in the third and the forth quarter. Omaha North takes down Benson 42-10. Skutt and Elkhorn is one of the classic matchups in Class B play. Both of these teams play almost every year. And this year was another fun game. They both ended the first quarter tied 7-7 Skutt would then take the lead in the second going up 13-7 at halftime. But then Something awoke in the Antlers and they took care of business scoring 13 points in the third quarter and 14 in the 4th. Their defense didn’t let Skutt score again and Elkhorn would win it 34-13. Our final game is a Class C-1 Classic. Pierce made the long trip all the way to Roncalli Catholic in Omaha. Pierce would kick off the game right away going up 12-0 in the first quarter. The second quarter would be even crazier with the Crimson Pride would get on the board scoring 21. By the end of the second Pierce would score again, at the half it was 28-21 with Pierce up. In the second half the Blue Jays would take care of business scoring 29 points. Piece would get the W winning 57-35 over Roncalli Catholic.
