We had some great games last week and it was hard to choose what games we were visiting. This week we have some great matchups across Nebraska and we can’t wait to see how they play out.
Week 3 Recap
Last week was a fun week full of fireworks from teams all over Nebraska. Our first game was the beat down Omaha Westside did against Bellevue West. In the first quarter Bellevue West went up 13-7. During the second quarter The Thunderbirds would hold onto their lead going up 21-14 at halftime. The Warriors would come out with a vengeance scoring 21 points in the Third Quarter the Warriors went up 35-28 and then finally they put the game out of reach Westside scored another 21 points in the 4th to end the game winning 56-35. Our next game showed dominance with the Aurora Huskies traveling to Ashland-Greenwood. It was tight after the first quarter with a 7-7 score. In the second quarter The Huskies would dominate scoring 20 points to 0 in the 2nd going up 27-7 at half. Ashland would score one more time in the third only denting the Husky lead. The final in Ashland would be 33-13. This last game was one I am glad that I could go too in person. Gretna and Creighton Prep. This game was a boxing match between the two teams. Creighton Prep would take a quick lead to Gretna going up 7 to 6 in the first. In the Second Quarter the Dragons would hold the Junior Jays to 6 points. The Junior Jays would have all of the momentum going into the second half. Gretna would come back and tie it and their defense held strong and gave them an opportunity to get the game winning field goal Gretna would win 16-13.
Omaha North @ Benson
Omaha North and Benson both come into this game with a record 2-1 going into Week 4. Benson had a tough game against North Star losing 27-2. The Bunnies bounced back winning 20-19 and they destroyed Westview 47-7. Benson’s stats from the Westview game are nuts. The bunnies had 199 passing yards and 67 rushing yards totaling almost 300 yards. Omaha North also lost their first game in a nail biter against Bellevue West. They would fall 28-26, Their next game was another close match up against Millard West. Finally the Vikings would take on the Columbus Discoverers and they would dominate winning 48-13. Nate Collins Nate Collins 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Omaha Burke | 2025 State NE leads the Vikings in passing yards win 206 yards so far this season. Te’Shaun Porter Te’Shaun Porter 5'11" | 200 lbs | RB Omaha North | 2023 State NE leads them on the ground with 598 yards on the ground. For the Viking’s defense Mykel Johnson leads with 21 total tackles. This is going to be an great matchup and I cannot wait to see the out come of it.

Skutt Catholic @ Elkhorn
Skutt Catholic and Elkhorn are a common match up. Both have been common Class B teams for a while now and they have gotten to play almost annually. This year Skutt comes in with a 2-1 record. They had a close games the last couple weeks against GI Northwest and Beatrice. Elkhorn had a quick start to the season going starting off 2-0 and then losing by a touchdown to Gross Catholic. The Antlers look to rebound with a win over Skutt.

Roncalli Catholic @ Pierce
We got two undefeated teams coming to battle. The Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride and the Pierce Bluejays. Pierce is another one of those powerhouse teams as of recent. So far this season the Crimson Pride have dominated every team that they have gone up against outscoring their opponents 131-20 so far this year. Since the beginning of September Roncalli has had 396 passing yards and 341 rushing yards. Pierce has also had a successful season outscoring their opponents 151-28 so far. Since September started they have had 303 total passing yards and 378 rushing yards. Their defense has caused 4 sacks this season along with 1 fumble and an interception. This matchup will have a lot of effects on the rest of Class C-1 and could possible be a defining win for both teams.
