Kyai Cook Kyai Cook 5'11" | 180 lbs | WR Byrnes | 2023 State SC , Byrnes
Cook had a 90-plus yard TD on Friday. Then, he did it again. Cook returned the second half kickoff 94 yards for a score, turning what was a 21-13 game at the break into a 28-13 Byrnes lead. Then, on Byrnes’ first offensive possession of the house, he gathered in a pass from Colby Shaw and took it 98 yards for the Rebels. Cook had four catches for 120 yards and a TD, Armoni Weaver Armoni Weaver 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Westside | 2025 State SC caught six balls for 128 yards and two TDs, and Shaw threw for 433 and four scores in the game
Hudson Talley, Dorman
Talley had his best night of the season against Greenwood, finishing 18-for-24 and throwing for 244 yards and three TDs. He tossed scores of 21 yards to Jarvis Pearson, 33 yards to Tra’Von Fernandez, and 41 yards to DJ Porter.
Kaliber Hoey, Gaffney, and Amayjai Boyd, Boiling Springs
These guys are on the list for much the same reason. Both turned in two-interception performances, and both provided dramatics. Hoey’s second interception sealed Gaffney’s win against Hammond, while Boyd had one pick in the end zone on a play that could’ve turned the game, and another that ended the Bulldogs’ 28-27 win over Chapman.
Lincoln Huskey Lincoln Huskey 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Boiling Springs | 2025 State SC , Boiling Springs
Huskey looked good in the Bulldogs’ rivalry win over Chapman, throwing for 154 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for 30 yards and another score.
