With so many games at every level coming down to a perfect snap, kick or punt, the landscape has changed when it comes to developing kickers, punters and long snappers.
While fan websites and recruiting services are just starting to discover special teams performers, we have been fortunate to be on the cutting edge – giving these standouts a major forum over two decades ago.
Because colleges and universities across the country are now searching for the top special teams prospects, there is a need for more camps and showcases that expose these talented players.
Today, we bring you five Class of 2024 kickers and punters who have already put themselves on the radar, but are still looking for the attention needed to get a scholarship and make a difference in the outcome of games.
Bobby Engstler Bobby Engstler 6'0" | 200 lbs | K Chiles | 2024 FL , P/K, 6-0, 210, Tallahassee Chiles. One of the nation’s top-rated prospects, this versatile punter/kicker is truly someone that everyone is keep their eyes on. As a punter, he is accurate, adds height and distance to his kicks that helps slant the field for his team. He is also rated as the No. 1 junior in the nation. As a kicker, he has a burst that you find most top-flight prospects have. He has a strong leg on field goals, extra points and his percentage of touchbacks continues to improve.
Cooper Hollman, K/P, 5-11, 165, Naples Gulf Coast. Another star-rated kicker, who has been impressive during the season as well as at competitive showcases. His leg strength and accuracy shows on his kickoffs and field goals – where he has given his program a huge lift. This is a major weapon who can do so much for the Sharks. He has a 3.5 GPA in the classroom and his also a baseball prospect.
Michael Kern, K/P, 6-3, 175, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas. While he is very accurate on field goals and extra points for the Raiders – where he is going to be a force for years to come is his ability to punt for distance and accuracy and enough leg strength to give his team a huge advantage on kickoffs. He was rated as the No. 1 punter in his class.

Liam Padron Liam Padron 5'9" | 160 lbs | K Bartram Trail | 2024 FL , K/P, St. John’s Bartram Trail. One of the strongest and most accurate legs you will find, and he is getting better all the time. He is one of the big reasons why the Bears have gotten off to such a tremendous start. A weapon like this is exactly why special teams have become so vital in the success of any football team. Remains one of the best in the country.
Evans Scruggs, K/P, 6-1, 165, Orlando Bishop Moore. Yet another elite kicking prospect who has earned his rating for what he accomplished at showcases and has more than backed it up so far this season. Has a huge leg on kickoffs, which has been an asset to the Hornets. His leg strength and accuracy on field goals and extra points has been big for the Hornets. Rated as one of the top kickers in the state, going into the 2022 season.
