Teams have gotten stronger in the weightroom and their players have matured on the field. It’s time to see what this season has in store. Who will be the last twelve teams standing in Hattiesburg the first weekend of December?
Nanih Waiya vs Noxapater
These two teams have a cross county rivalry that can get very heated at times. You got cousins in this game who will line up tonight and not like each other. This is one of the best rivalries in the whole state. It is going to be a smash mouthed football game full of trash talking in the stands.
Nanih Waiya is going to be relying on their defense to make some plays for them tonight. The Warriors are going to be flying to the ball trying to slow down Noxapater’s fast paced offense. They won’t have to worry about the pass much, but that read option running game is going to be a test for Nanih Waiya tonight. Noxapater is going to line up and try to make the Warriors tired. Coach Kelly has that offense building some chemistry. He has a nice backfield that can tote the ball and make defenders tired. The Tigers also have a defense that does not mind hitting. They love to fly to the football. This is going to be a good game.
Pascagoula vs Moss Point
This is a good old school classic right here. Moss Point fans are very excited about this game. Pascagoula fans are coming in excited, but their players young and hungry.
Moss Point has a stout defense this year led by Jamarious Brown Jamarious Brown 6'4" | 255 lbs | DL Moss Point | 2023 State MS . Their defense is going to play hard, fast and smart. They won’t make many mistakes. They have some secondary players who don’t mind coming up being aggressive in their rush defense. Pascagoula has a very stout offense with a young QB who is ready to be a leader.
