Nanih Waiya vs Noxapater
Noxapater came out swinging last night. They never let up from the first TD, which was a 5 yard pass from Kyle Phillips to Keon Tucker. Their offense was moving the ball with ease last night on Nanih Waiya. 2026 ATH JyKavius Riddle had over 100 yards rushing and was all over the field on defense. He is a guy that you want to keep up with. Jimmy Graham punched in a touchdown during the third quarter for Noxapater last night. Kyle Phillips took a busted play for 72 yards and that was a major blow to Nanih as they were trying to make a 3rd down stop. Nanih Waiya showed some good play last night, but overall it just wasn’t their night.
Ocean Springs vs Clinton
These two teams had a very close game during the first week of the 2021 football season. Things weren’t the same last night. Brayson Hubbard had over 270 all purpose yards and had 100 yards rushing at halftime. He was showing off why he is an Alabama commit. JP Coulter had ten receptions. Their defense was very stout tonight holding Clinton to only 13 points. This team is more physical on defense this year. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them make a deep playoff run again this season.
Houston vs Calhoun City
This game had Jalen Washington Jalen Washington 5'8" | 190 lbs | RB Houston | 2024 State MS ‘s name all over it. He scored four touchdowns and got four two point conversions. He also picked off a pass on defense. It looks like Jalen is set to have another amazing year. This loss shouldn’t be upsetting the Calhoun City community. They have a lot to look forward to. Houston is one of the better 4A teams in the state and Calhoun is only a 2A.
