Both teams were executing at a very high level on offense and both teams offensive lines did a great job of blocking. I loved how the coaching staffs were continuing to substitute players in and out so they could evaluate every player.
I heard the coaches doing a good job of praising the players when they did a good job and also correcting mistakes. Overall, this was a very well run scrimmage and I believe both teams got good work in. I see both teams having a lot of success this upcoming season and I look forward to watching them play.
Aidan Hamilton | TE/LB | Northville
Hamilton certainly was a standout on defense. He is a great tackler who was never shying away from contact. Hamilton mostly lined up at inside linebacker but has the versatility to play outside linebacker as well. He has very good play strength and was competing every single play. Hamilton will definitely be a key player this season for Northville and I expect him to finish with a lot of tackles.
Justin Minard | WR/DB | Northville
Minard played cornerback on defense and did a great job in coverage. He has a fluid back pedal combined with good speed that allowed him not to get beat deep. He is a good athlete and showed the ability to flip his hips and turn with receivers. Minard had some great catches on offense as well and showed his ability to make people miss after the catch on a screen passes.
Isaac Henman | RB | Temperance Bedford
Henman had some great runs at the running back position. He has tremendous cutting ability and does a great job of making defenders miss. He is a physical runner and can run with power as well. Henman had several 40 plus yard touchdown runs where he made several defenders miss. Henman does a great job of accelerating to the outside and on sweeps and pitch plays. The coaching staff will be sure to continue to give Henman the football in a variety of ways.
Josh Parshall | QB/RB/DB | Temperance Bedford
Parshall does a great job of throwing on the run at the quarterback position. He makes good reads and knows when to pitch the ball at the right time on option plays. Parshall has good speed at the safety position and did a good job of staying deep and not letting receivers get behind him. He does a great job of returning kicks and has ability quickly change direction and make defenders miss.
Colton Theil | RB | Northville
Theil had some great runs at the running back position. He has very good play strength and showed ability to break multiple tackles on several of his carries. He has good vision and did a great job of finding running lanes and accelerating through them. Theil will certainly be a key offensive weapon for Norhville this season and I expect him to continue to create big plays.
