In this piece, we will look into 2023 recruits who we have identified as recruits and will be on a mission in fall 2022, to impress those schools showing interest. Starting with the position of Tight-end, where New England has been known to be a region, “a diamond in the ruff” can be found, here are five recruits in no specific order.
Suzio is a rising senior with a big upside. He tells us he was first exposed to football as a freshman in HS. His primary focus has always been to play collegiate Lacrosse after High School. After a few successful season’s on the gridiron, he has overcome that thought and is primarily focused on playing college football. In viewing his Jr. film, he has a physical aggression with good instincts and awareness. He will go up to catch the high ball if needed. He also plays the DE position. There you can see some footage of his natural aggression needed to play at the next level. Has Interest from several D1-D3 schools and a solid senior season on both sides of the ball shall help his recruitment.
Lockett is a transfer from powerhouse St Francis Academy where he played DE. He has spoken to lots of colleges this summer, and also has taken some visits. We were told he attended Sacred Heart, Univ of Rhode Island, and the New England B.O.N.E 2 camps this summer and competed very well. He feels he is excelling at the TE spot and looking for a breakout season at the TE position. He hopes to get the film needed for all the colleges showing interest. With his size alone, we are sure he will get more attention after senior season.
Has good hands and always looks for the extra yardage after the catch. Doesn’t go down easily and will fight hard for the inches. His instincts and awareness are efficient. He stays with his blocks as needed and seen driving the defender until the whistle blows. He finishes his runs with low pad level being placed on the defender. Hands are good. Currently in active talks with D1 schools; Holy Cross, Columbia, UNH, Stonehill, Wagner, Fordham, and a few D2 schools that include assumption, new haven, and southern Connecticut.

“McMahon”is multi-dimensional and athletic. He can be elusive at times and willing to lower his shoulders into any defender after the catch. At 6’3” he provides a big target for his QB. His highlight film displays great hands and the ability to pull down all types of throws while being covered. His elusiveness and speed combo, allows him to be a threat anywhere on the field. Interest is coming in from all levels D1-D3. He is expected to have a great senior season that will surely boost interest. HUDL: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/13138667/6181aab07bdd430824c35190

McCluskey size alone can not be ignored. He is a large target and athletic. Hands are impressive and high tops the ball in traffic. Holds his blocks well. Shows strength. Frames the ball well and “plucks” away from his body. A solid recruit with the potential to develop into being special at the next level. A great senior season may bring more interest from all levels.
