These tracking skills and his blazing top-line speed make vertical routes a no-fly zone for most teams. This speed also helps him cover ground in the short game, mitigate yards after the catch, or cause incompletions. Tuck is also sound in bump-and-run coverage and uses this to disrupt routes and stay ahead of receivers running shorter routes. He is also adept at supporting the run. He’s a physical tackler who can break down in the open field, contain perimeter runs, and get downhill to stop runs. As one of the more underrated defensive backs in the state, look for Tuck’s stock to rise and for his recruitment to gain traction.

Smith is physical safety that is an elite playmaker against the run and pass. He’s extremely explosive on contact and never misses the opportunity to send a message if he catches receivers across the middle. He also can get downhill in the run game, be an enforcer, and play as an extra linebacker on the field. In the passing game, Smith shows excellent closing speed and can break on the ball and make plays. He has enough range to roam the middle and erase blown coverages. The Tennessee commit is easily one of the better safeties in the state and a no-brainer pick for the all-region team.
