Both Little Rock Christian and Shiloh Christian are extremely talented football teams. Each team has players that will be playing on Saturdays in the future and this game is going to be an interesting one to watch an attend this weekend in Springdale. We are going to preview this matchup and give you a few players to pay attention to on Friday night.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Looking first at the visiting Little Rock Christian Warriors. The offensive side of the ball for the Warriors is a talented group. At the quarterback position, Little Rock Christian has a prospect that is drawing the attention of Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Syracuse to name a few. White has the arm strength and accuracy to pick opposing defenses apart. One facet of White's game that does not receive the credit it should is his ability to move the ball on the ground using his legs. Looking at the running backs, Little Rock Christian has several that will likely receive some carries this week. [player_tooltip player_id='181497' first='Preston' last='Davis'], Ronny Anokye, and Aiden Sansom all have the opportunity to see some carries against Shiloh this week. Meanwhile, the receiving corps has the opportunity to be special this season. [player_tooltip player_id='246268' first='Tate' last='Collins'], Landon Smith, Andrew Lord, and [player_tooltip player_id='349303' first='Morgan' last='Walker'] will all see plenty of chances to catch the ball over the course of the season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Meanwhile, the defensive side of the ball for the Warriors is a talented facet of the team as well. Edge rusher [player_tooltip player_id='432414' first='Jordan' last='Johnson'] is a player to watch out for this season. Johnson is incredibly quick and is disruptive in both the run and the passing games for opposing offenses. The linebackers for the Warriors are one of the of most talented position groupings in the state this season. Senior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='432437' first='Holt' last='Chappell'] accounted for 124 tackles and eight tackles for loss a season ago and will likely have another strong season this season. [player_tooltip player_id='181497' first='Preston' last='Davis'] is one of those linebackers that opposing offenses must account for or he will blow plays up the whole game. In the secondary, [player_tooltip player_id='354784' first='Trey' last='Howard'] is a defensive back with the speed to cause opposing wide receivers plenty of problems. The Little Rock Christian defense has the potential to have a strong season at all three levels.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Shiloh Christian Saints have moved up a class to the 5-A West. Shiloh Christian never really has to rebuild; they simply reload at key positions. We are going to take a look at the offensive side of the ball for the Saints first. [player_tooltip player_id='75133' first='Eli' last='Wisdom'] is back at quarterback for the Saints after an extremely impressive 2021 season. Last season Wisdom threw for 2,991 yards, 36 touchdowns, and only 10 interceptions. The rushing attack will be led by [player_tooltip player_id='149578' first='Bo' last='Williams'] this season. Williams racked up over 500 yards rushing last season for 11 touchdowns. The passing game is always impressive for the Saints and this season should not be any different. Look for [player_tooltip player_id='261847' first='Dax' last='Widger'], Garrett Odom, and Bodie Neal to all be involved in the passing game this season for the Saints.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Shifting our focus to the defensive side of the ball for the Saints. Thomas Reece returns to anchor the defensive line at the defensive tackle position. Last season, Reece accounted for a little under 80 tackles, two sacks, and one fumble recovery. At the linebacker spot, a player to watch out for this season is [player_tooltip player_id='280301' first='Noah' last='DeJarnatt']. DeJarnatt was all over the field a season ago for Shiloh Christian and I expect a big season from him this season. In the secondary, Bodie Neal is a prospect at the safety position that is not afraid to deliver a hit and separate the ball from the ball carrier.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I expect this game to come down to the last possession of the game. Both teams are extremely talented at the skill position areas. This is the type of game where turnovers will play a factor in who gets the win.
