It is the best time of year for those of us who love pigskin so get out there and enjoy the annual tradition of fall. Excited for all the boys to finally show off how they have improved with a years worth of hard work and dedication! And now to Part 2 of my short series highlighting the specialists. These guys will absolutely be a key factor in your favorite high school teams season this fall!
Cade Berg- (Armstrong High School) 6’5 170lbs. C/o 2023.
Cade is a long lengthy athlete who can play Wide Receiver also. He is still fairly raw as a kicker which means his ceiling is way up there. He shows some inconsistency but when he hits it he is a touchback machine which is a huge weapon. He has the ability to be good as a placekicker as well.
Eli Nowacki Eli Nowacki 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH Centennial | 2023 MN – (Centennial High School) 5’11 162lbs. C/o 2023.
Eli’s biggest asset is probably his power. Strength and accuracy are both key factors to what he brings to the table as a specialist. This is another guy who has a high ceiling as he continues to work to hone his craft.
Charles Thorsen- (Edina High School) 6’2 225lbs. C/o 2023
Charles is one of the best snappers in the state of Minnesota. Has great accuracy and snap speed, both of which are vital for his position and make him a punters best friend. There is work ahead but he could certainly work himself in position to be a high level college long-snapper.
Ashton Kluseman- (Shakopee High School) 5’9 160lbs. C/o 2023. @AshtonKluseman
Ashton has a big time kick off leg, natural power and leg speed. He shared duties as a Junior, so this year should give him an opportunity to show more of his wares. This is a kicker with a smooth swing that also shows good height and accuracy.
Max Ritter- (Rosemount) 5’11 153lbs. C/o 2023. @Max_Ritter3
Max is a very accurate kicker with good power. Specialists being a one man position where you don’t play much of a back up makes this year a great chance to really see him shine as he Played behind Leyton Simmering last fall. Max is a kid who could have been a multiple year starter at another school. He has end zone kick off power and will be able to showcase it this year
