Key Athletes
Brayson Hubbard, QB Class of 2023
Brayson Hubbard did a great job yesterday connecting on all but 1 of his passes, taking no sacks, and Throwing for 2 Touchdowns. I believe that there is still room for improvement in Brayson as his team wasn’t able to score until early in the second quarter but overall his performance was exactly what the Greyhounds needed in order to start the season out with a Win.
William Smith Jr, RB Class of 2024
William Smith was a productive athlete on during the contest rushing for 77 yards and a Touchdown. His team had a difficult time moving the ball in the first half of the game but after a few halftime adjustments, William was able to capitalize on his opportunities. It’ll be great to see Smith Jr. start producing more early on in the games but his value is surely evident for the win this week.

Jakobe served as the main running back for the Arrows on Thursday Carrying the ball for over 100 yards and two touchdowns. Jakobe was responsible for all of the points accrued by the Clinton Arrows displaying his ability, talent, and value to the Arrows. I expect Calvin to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark if he continues to have this type of production.
Jordyn Battee, QB Class of 2023
Jordyn Battee was an excellent athlete throughout this competition. He accounted for 130 yards in the face of some stark adversity which showed his ability to make plays under pressure. It seemed as if this game was a great barometer for how prepared he was for the speed and level of play. It can be expected for Jordyn to keep being a key athlete for his team.
