Football fans from all over flocked to the M.I.S.D Multi-Purpose stadium to see the match up between these two heavy hitting squads.
The stadium was packed to capacity, and the environment was electric for Senior night. The score ended up being 30 to 14 in favor of Midlothian but the game was a lot closer than the final score showed. It was a very competitive game that was undoubtedly decided by the big fellas up font on the offensive line of Midlothian.
Both squads had a bevy of talented players that contributed on the night but the prospects mentioned below initially stood out to me the most.
SUPERLATIVES
Cole Quigley Cole Quigley 6'2" | 280 lbs | OL Midlothian | 2023 State TX – Midlothian High school- Class of 2023
Cole is a 6’2 280 pound interior offensive line prospect that did a great job helping lead the charge for Midlothian. Cole did an impressive job of setting the tone in the run game early. Since seeing him compete on the summer camp circuit his technique and upper body mass has improved tenfold. He helped his running back find creases and did a good job at maintain sustaining his blocks all night. Attached below is an example on film of the effort and strain that he popped the season off with. His play will be an integral part of the Panthers continued success this fall. https://twitter.com/logantillman/status/1563193711647129606?s=21&t=yy-4bMn25fP7kGoMXDrWSw
Corbin Griffin – Midlothian High school- Class of 2023
Corbin is a 6’4 270 pound Left Tackle that had a very productive night and did a great job creating lanes in the run game and straining to finish in pass protection. Since seeing him on the summer camp circut he has spent some time in the weight room and has visibly added mass to his frame and looked efficient and explosive throughout his movements on the night. He had some great solo blocks and double teams but what stood out to me the most was his strain to finish with hand control. Attached is an example of one of his reps in the run game. https://twitter.com/logantillman/status/1563197237181657088?s=21&t=yy-4bMn25fP7kGoMXDrWSw
Terrion White – Seguin High School – Class of 2023
Even though the Cougars didn’t bring home a W they had a bunch of bright spots and big performers. One of those was 6’3, 340 pound Terrion White. He is a huge interior offensive line prospect that had a good showing and displayed some solid fundamentals. He did a great job with his hands and impressed me with his body control. I can see him being a center at the next level and look forward to watching how his game progresses over the fall.

Diesel Gordon – Seguin High school – Class of 2023
Diesel is a 6’1 175 pound safety / cornerback that was exciting to finally see in person and compete live. Diesel is a ball hawking defender with a great football IQ that made his presence felt all night. His initial play recognition and closing speed sideline to sideline was impressive. Along with how he kept his composure and continued to hustle even with his squad being on the losing end of the contest. The star defender is committed to The University of Washington and will be a huge catalyst for the success of Seguin High as their season progresses.
