Each and every Wednesday, in addition to what we bring you throughout the year, we will add five prospects to keep an eye on.
If you have followed us over the past two plus years, you know that when it comes to promoting football talent in Florida, the concentration is not just on the star-rated prospects. We cover every school, every region and prospects at each and every level.
Today, with the new year already upon us, we bring you five more football players who worked hard during the spring and summer to attract plenty of attention.
2023 – Nathan Barker, WR/DB, 6-2, 190, Belle Isle Cornerstone Charter. One of the versatile athletes from a smaller school, but a program that has worked very hard to gain recognition. In this young man, you have someone who can play up to five positions on the field – giving college coaches a real look at a student/athlete who can help to make a difference in their program. His 3.2 GPA is also something colleges are very interested in.
2023 – Davion Brown Davion Brown 5'9" | 155 lbs | RB Wiregrass Ranch | 2023 FL , RB, 5-10, 160, Wesley Chapel Wiregrass Ranch. One of the gifted prospects we already put a spotlight on during the summer. Here is a talented young man who has the size, experience and play-making abilities to be very special for his final season. The one big asset that he possesses is his speed. Already clocked in 4.43 (40 yards), college programs already have an idea how much he means to his program – and at the next level as well.
2023 – Amarion Cook, LB/TE, 6-3, 230, Tallahassee Rickards. Yet another gifted “Big Bend” region football prospects that we had the pleasure of watching. What he did during the spring and summer to get ready for the season is indeed something that everyone has taken notice of at the school and around Tallahassee. He brings so much to the table as a football player, who also can lineup at tight end, and as a student, where his 3.0 GPA is enhancing the recruiting process. Keep an on eye on his final season. You will be impressed!
2024 – Terry Hedden III Terry Hedden III 6'3" | 215 lbs | QB Tampa Catholic | 2024 FL , QB, 6-3, 205, Tampa Catholic. Talk to anyone who has watched this quality talent perform over the past year and all will tell you that he brings so much to the table for a team that continues to improve and grow. His kickoff classic performance only showed why he will be one of the football players to keep an eye on this coming season, setting the table for a bright future. He also enhances his ability to be recruited in the classroom, where he happens to hold down a 4.34 GPA. Is emerging as a football player to keep an eye on this coming season.
2025 – Robert Lee, LB, 6-0, 200, Kissimmee Osceola. Talk about a bright future. Here is a gifted young man who worked hard in the off-season to not only help himself get better, but to also help the Kowboys as they make a strong push for the playoffs in a very competitive class. Another student/athlete who gets it done in the classroom – as his 3.5 GPA will certainly backup. With two full seasons remaining, it will be fun to trace his progress, heading into his sophomore season.
