The class of 2024 has plenty of prospects on the offensive line that scouts are going to want to pay attention and take note of this season. We are going to look at some prospects you have heard of and a few that may catch you by surprise in today’s article.
Vinny Winters Vinny Winters 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL Malvern | 2024 State AR -Malvern-6’4” 290-Pounds
Winters has been starting at Malvern since he was a sophomore. He earned all-state honors a year ago and I expect him to have an impressive 2022 football season. Winters is a powerful offensive lineman that has impressive versatility along the offensive line. He has good explosion out of the stance and does a great job of getting into the opposing defensive lineman. With scholarship offers from Arkansas, Memphis, and Arkansas State to his credit, I expect another solid season from Winters in 2022.
Lane Jeffcoat Lane Jeffcoat 6'9" | 310 lbs | OL Bentonville West | 2024 State AR -Bentonville West-6’9” 285-Pounds
The Bentonville West offensive lineman has always had plenty of power and speed that he can put on display. Over the offseason, Jeffcoat dropped some weight, and he is even quicker exploding out of the stance. With scholarship offers from North Texas and Arkansas State to his credit, I expect Jeffcoat to earn some more over the course of this season. With another strong season look for Lane to earn all-state honors again this season and Bentonville West is one team that has the potential to make a deep playoff run.
Chauncey Johnson Chauncey Johnson 6'5" | 300 lbs | OL Lonoke | 2024 State AR -Lonoke-6’5” 300-Pounds
Johnson is a prospect that will surprise with just how quick and agile he is. The Lonoke offensive lineman is a powerhouse that can block down the field and is always looking for another defender to block. Johnson is an impressive run blocker, but he is also an offensive lineman that can pass block with a mean streak. Johnson is another offensive lineman that folks will want to keep an eye out for this season. Look for him to rack up scholarship offers in the process.
Hunter Marshall Hunter Marshall 5'8" | 245 lbs | OL Farmington | 2024 State AR -Farmington-5’8” 245-Pounds
Perhaps the best center in the state of Arkansas calls Farmington home. Hunter Marshall Hunter Marshall 5'8" | 245 lbs | OL Farmington | 2024 State AR is a student of the game, and he spends his off hours continuing to perfect his craft. He is a strong offensive lineman that can and will catch opposing defensive linemen off guard with his strength. Marshall is extremely quick, and he will cause plenty of headaches for opposing defensive linemen this season. Marshall is one player that I expect to have a big 2022 season. Keep an eye on him and Farmington this season.
Charlie Vandenberg Charlie Vandenberg 6'4" | 295 lbs | OL Ozark | 2024 State AR -Ozark-6’3” 300-Pounds
Ozark is earning a reputation of producing quality offensive lineman. The next one coming down the pipeline is Vandenberg. He is a pass blocker that uses his power and quick feet well. Vandenberg is strong and he is extremely impressive at keeping opposing defensive linemen off of his quarterback. From a run blocking perspective, he has no trouble clearing a path for his teammates. The Ozark offensive lineman is only going to continue to improve and he is an offensive lineman that scouts will want to pay attention to this season.
