CB Trey Waters – 6’0″ 175 / Lone Star HS — @TheTimWatersIII
A tough, rangy cornerback who can flip his hips and run with anyone, Waters heads into Friday night looking to build off of a stellar Week 1 performance against Lake Ridge. One look at his tape, and you instantly love the tenacity and fearlessness he plays the game with. Will be a heck of a steal for a smaller program looking for a cover guy who can develop into a starter.
Currently has an offer from Southwestern Assemblies of God.
WR Jamon Hines – 6’1″ 180 / Katy Taylor HS — @JamonHines
Hines is a true sleeper west of Houston. Super athletic, gets off jams at the line, and can consistently high point the football and come down with contested catches. What’s really impressive are his clean, crisp routes. If you’re looking for a sleeper, you’ve found him in the speedy Katy, Texas wideout. The Mustangs will look to improve their record to 1-1 Thursday night against George Ranch.
Currently has an offer from Louisiana Christian University.
RB Devrin Brown – 5’11″ 185 / Krum HS — @Devrin_Brown23
Junior Stats: 1,188 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns
In the season opener last week, Brown ripped off an impressive 133 yards on the ground. He’s primed and ready to cap his high school career off with a stellar senior season. The perfect fit for a zone running scheme, his one-cut, downhill ability is truly special. He doesn’t have any offers yet, but you can expect that to change as the season progresses.
Brown will look to help the Bobcats bounce back Friday night after a disappointing Week 1 loss to Whitesboro.
CB Da’Kyrien Scott – 6’0″ 170 / Crowley HS — @_DJtheeGr8st
A gritty, physical defensive back that excels in run support, Scott attacks the flats and doesn’t give up yards very easily. In coverage, he shows smooth hips and stays low in his transition. His best fit on the next level might be as a Cover 2 corner, as one of his strengths is reading quarterbacks and anticipating routes. Would be a very nice pickup for a smaller program that wants a guy who can develop into a quality starter.
Currently has no offers.
ATH Jamal Franklin Jamal Franklin 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Fort Bend Austin | 2023 TX – 6’1″ 160 / Fort Bend Austin HS — @ItssJamal2023
A versatile athlete who can hurt you in different ways, Franklin lines up at WR and CB on Friday nights. He’s one of the more exciting players to watch in the Sugar Land area, he can beat press coverage when lined up outside, and he can make guys miss in the open field. A true swiss army knife. He and the rest of the Bulldogs will look to improve to 2-0 this week when they take on Westbury.
Committed to Texas A&M-Commerce.
