Only entering his sophomore year, Nevan Tutterow Nevan Tutterow 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Franklin Central | 2025 State IN ‘s ceiling is extremely high. Still, he will be looking to put together a monster year this fall. Tutterow can lean on the experience that he accrued as a result of seeing significant playing time as a freshman. His progression from last season to this season will be critical. The early signs are that he is continuing to make huge strides. In recent scrimmages, Tutterow has been tearing it up. He has shown that he can throw a good deep ball, and that he has the mobility to maneuver in the pocket as well as extend plays and pick up yardage with his legs when needed. Christian Abney Christian Abney 6'5" | 215 lbs | QB Zionsville | 2023 State IN , 6’5, 205 pounds, Senior, Zionsville
In spite of missing significant time in his junior season, Zionsville’s Christian Abney Christian Abney 6'5" | 215 lbs | QB Zionsville | 2023 State IN displayed why he can be a major force entering the 2022 season. The right-hander has the poise and composure to go through the reads before finding the right receiver to throw the ball to. Abney has outstanding mobility in the pocket, allowing him to buy himself just enough to make a throw before pass rushers can get there. On Abney’s throws down the field as well as to the outside, he does not have a tendency to underthrow passes and potentially test fate. He leads the receiver and allows them to run under the ball. Especially when it comes to the deep ball, Abney puts really good touch on his throws. Last year, even with the chunk of the season that he had to miss, Abney managed to throw for over 1,000 yards on 70/126 passing. He tossed 11 touchdowns and just a pair of interceptions. He added 184 rushing yards on 58 carries with seven more touchdowns.

Mooresville has the luxury of returning one of the state’s most prolific passers, Nicholas Patterson Nicholas Patterson 6'2" | 225 lbs | QB Mooresville | 2023 State IN . Patterson is coming off a junior season that consistently saw him near the top of the state leaderboards for quarterback categories. Patterson sees the field well and rarely- if ever- puts the ball in harm’s way unnecessarily. He has the arm strength to make driving the ball to his target look incredibly simple. Patterson has a knack for finding windows in the coverage and throwing it to the spot so his receivers can catch the ball in stride. Patterson has a quick throwing motion which is a big plus as it cuts down on the amount of time that pass rushers have to get to him as well as their opportunities to force a fumble. Patterson has the arm strength to test the secondary down often.

has the skills to make any defense tread carefully. The right-hander has a quick throwing motion. He makes good decisions with the ball and keeps the offense on the field and on-schedule. Whitaker has a good arm, and he can drive his throws even when he is not throwing from a solid platform. Whitaker reads coverages well and does a nice job of finding the throwing windows. A season ago, Whitaker completed 116 of his 177 pass attempts for 1,523 passing yards. He threw ten touchdowns and five interceptions. On top of that, Whitaker mustered 488 rushing yards on 75 carries with seven touchdowns.
