Denver South at Skyline | Thursday, August 25, 2022
Final Score 45-24 Denver South
This match-up was expected to be an exciting one, and it did not disappoint. Skyline started with a long drive that mixed runs by Rahman Carson (2024 RB/DB) and passes from fifth-ranked QB Kaiden Box Kaiden Box 6'4" | 195 lbs | QB Skyline | 2023 State CO (2023) to Logan Miller Logan Miller 5'10" | WR Skyline | 2023 State CO (2023 WR), including a tunnel screen for a 12-yard touchdown. Skyline’s defense was able to force a punt and give the ball back to the offense, who drove down the field and scored again on a 23-yard run by Carson bringing the score to 13-0 in favor of the Falcons.
After that, Denver South would go on to score 24 unanswered points. Third-ranked QB Joseph Capra Joseph Capra 6'1" | 165 lbs | QB Denver South | 2023 State CO (2023) and second-ranked WR Rashad Caldwell Rashad Caldwell 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Denver South | 2023 State CO (2023) connected for an 11-yard touchdown to put the Ravens on the board. Capra would score the next two touchdowns on the ground, one of which was a QB scamper for more than 50 yards. Max Lindenbaum (2023 K) scored a field goal to extend South’s lead to 11 points in the third quarter.
Box responded by leading the Falcons down the field and connecting with Miller, who made defenders miss on his way to the end zone during an impressive catch-and-run. Skyline converted a two-point conversion and cut the deficit to three points. The Falcons were able to score a game-tying field goal following a successful onside kick, but that would be the final score for Skyline of the night.
The Ravens responded by scoring on a wild pitch-and-catch between Capra and CJ Morm (2023 WR), then again with another touchdown reception by Caldwell. The night’s final touchdown was another Capra run, ending the game with a 45-24 score in favor of the Ravens.

Their only offensive score came on a pass connection between Holmes and Joey Foot (2025 WR) at the end of the game, resulting in a final score of 47-14 in favor of Broomfield.
