The green and yellow has been known to be very successful across the state. This year they should be adding a winning season to their records again. They are looking good on both sides of the ball. Offense is explosive and defense is stingy.
Brax Garrison Brax Garrison 6'4" | 220 lbs | QB Gordo | 2023 State AL , 6-4 220, QB, 2023
Brax is bringing his talents to Gordo, AL this season. He is a multi sport athlete who can sling the rock. Brax is going to be a big help to Gordo. With a guy like him in the backfield you can open up your playbook more. Brax knows how to get first downs. He knows how to keep the chains moving. He isn’t always looking to complete the deep pass. He is very cool with dumping it off to the check down. Plays like that are going to help Gordo this season. This is the type of experience Brax will bring to this team.
Kohl Summerville Kohl Summerville 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Gordo | 2023 State AL , 6-3 200, WR/DB, 2023
Kohl is a tough kid who gets real grimy on the field. On offense he likes to catch the ball and look for somebody to pick on when he takes off. He can run good routes and he knows how to use his ball skills to make plays on smaller defenders. He knows how to box out a bigger guy on a simple curl route. On defense he likes to be a guy who will come down and lay a big hit. He has good hands so he can play the field and help pick off some balls. He knows how to deflect passes without getting a flag called on him. Kohl will be the heart and soul of their offense. He is the vocal guy that will be the voice of their team.
Rayshawn Williams, 5-10 200, RB, 2023
Rayshawn brings an extravagant balance to their offense with his running game. Coaches can’t fall asleep on this kid when the passing game starts to work. He will pop a long run and have you looking sad. He has a nice physique and you can tell that he doesn’t mind getting bumped and bruised in the trenches. He has great vision and knows how to let his blocks develop. He also can catch the ball out of the backfield. He does not mind throwing a block when it is time to let his fellow brothers get their shine on.
Ethan Wilder, 6-1 170, WR/DB, 2024
Ethan is a lanky kid that will be busy for Gordo this season. He can get that job done on both sides of the ball and he is also a return specialist. Ethan will be a problem on “Ethan Island” as he likes to call it. He can run good routes and will have corners going crazy when they are trying to hold him. He has good speed and can take quick passes for a long distance. He is a shifty guy who can make defenders miss. When he is on the defensive side he knows how to be a shut down corner. He also can fall back and play the safety position. He doesn’t mind coming up making tackles. He knows how to read offenses when he plays the zone. Look for him to step up big for Gordo this season. He will have good stats on both sides.
Cam Lark, 6-0 230, DE/LB, 2025
Cam is a guy that catches your attention as soon as you see him in pads. It makes it even better when you see him make plays. He does not just look good in a uniform. Cam knows how to get it done. He is going to see time at defensive end. He has quick hands and knows how to shed blocks. He doesn’t play patty cake with offensive linemen. He is a guy that has played RB so he can move around for his size. I think he will be a LB on the next level. He isn’t stiff and he has good speed. Would love to see him at a few camps to see how he moves his body in drills. However in Gordo he will be holding it down on the line. That will be a scary site to see for some RBs. He has three more seasons to help out Gordo. They have a very good one in this young man.
Willie Fonville, 5-9 180, RB/WR, 2025
Willie is going to see some time at RB and WR this year. He is a quick shifty guy who is going to add some explosiveness to their offense. He is also a guy for them that is capable of spreading the field for their offensive coordinator. He has good vision and can change directions on a dime. He will split time with Williams this season. Those two in the backfield together is going to be a tough combo to deal with.
