It is another busy week of high school football action in the Natural State, and this will give us a preview for the upcoming week.
First, we are going to look at a few more big-time performers from week 0. We witnessed plenty of guys lighting up the Friday night skies this past weekend. So, without any further stalling, here are some more stars from Friday night.
Tramond Miller Tramond Miller 5'8" | 120 lbs | QB Drew Central | 2025 State AR -Wide Receiver-Drew Central-2025
Miller’s versatility was on full display Friday night against Bearden. Miller was making plays on both sides of the ball Friday and in the process set the stage for a big season in 2022. Miller had three touchdowns on the night including a strip fumble for a touchdown. He also topped the 150-yard mark on the night. Look out for Miller this season.
Jordan Walker Jordan Walker 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Bryant | 2025 State AR -Quarterback-Bryant-2025
The Bryant Hornets have not missed beat and that was evident against Benton at War Memorial Stadium on Saturday night. Walker had a good night throwing the football going 12 of 19 for 251 yards and four touchdowns. The Hornets appear to be clicking on all cylinders early in the season. Both sides of the ball are dangerous for the Hornets and this team has the potential to play deep into November.
King Webb King Webb 5'10" | 200 lbs | LB Lakeside | 2023 State AR -Linebacker-Lakeside-2023
Webb was all over the place on Friday for Lakeside. He lived in the Crossett Eagles offensive backfield. Webb racked up 10 tackles, four quarterback hurries, and two forced fumbles on the night. Look for Webb to continue the solid play into this week and he is a prospect to watch out for this season.
Carston Poole Carston Poole 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Prescott | 2023 State AR -Athlete-Prescott-2023
The Prescott Curley Wolves are always a team that opposing teams pay attention to during the season. Carston Poole Carston Poole 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Prescott | 2023 State AR is the signal caller that makes the Prescott engine go. Last week, Poole was 20 of 32 for 299 yards, two touchdowns, and only one interception. Poole is a prospect that can hurt your though the air or on the ground and is a player to watch out for this season.
Walker White Walker White 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB Little Rock Christian | 2024 State AR -Quarterback-Little Rock Christian-2024
After an extremely impressive summer, Walker White Walker White 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB Little Rock Christian | 2024 State AR is keeping the momentum rolling into the season. White 15 of 21 for 181 yards and four touchdowns. A big matchup is looming this Friday night when Little Rock Christian takes on Shiloh Christian. White has the potential to have a big season this season and he got off to a great start on Friday night.
Looking ahead to this coming Friday night. The game that I will be in attendance at is the Little Rock Christian vs. Shiloh Christian matchup, this matchup has the potential to be a classic. Fayetteville will play host to North Little Rock at Harmon Field and that should be a very good football game as well. One more matchup to watch out for this week is Springdale making the short trip to Farmington. Check back here this week for more coverage on several matchups around the state.
