1. Lehi Pioneers
The Pioneers won the 2021 state championship and returns not just some of the best players on their roster but the state as well. Quarterback Jackson Brousseau Jackson Brousseau 6'5" | 215 lbs | QB Lehi | 2023 State UT and defensive end Isaac Terrell Isaac Terrell 6'2" | 240 lbs | DL Lehi | 2023 State UT look to lead Lehi to repeat, and they have more than enough pieces to do so.
2. Timpview Thunderbirds
With five players in the top 15 of the class of 2023, The Thunderbird are stacked. Few teams possess as much talent in the trenches as Timpview, led by one of the state’s best defensive linemen in Siale Esera Siale Esera 6'3" | 240 lbs | DL Timpview | 2023 State UT and the best offensive lineman in Spencer Fano Spencer Fano 6'5" | 270 lbs | OL Timpview | 2023 State UT .
3. Springville Red Devils
Ryder Burton Ryder Burton 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Springville | 2023 State UT is our top quarterback in the state and returns his top tight end and receiver from a year ago in Walker Deede and Will Monney. On defense, defensive tackle Dallin Johnson Dallin Johnson 6'4" | 275 lbs | DL Springville | 2024 State UT is one of the best players in the class of 2024 and will be the face of a stingy Red Devils defense.
4. Park City Miners
Carson Tabaracci may be gone, but his brother Blake Tabaracci Blake Tabaracci 6'2" | 195 lbs | LB Park City | 2024 State UT will be one of the best edge rushers in the state and help the Miners remain stingy defensively. In addition, quarterback Chase Beyer Chase Beyer 5'10" | 175 lbs | QB Park City | 2023 State UT leads a talented offense in what should be a productive 2022 campaign.
5. East Leopards
The Leopards return nearly every starter to a team hungry for a big season after underperforming in 2021. East loves to run the ball, and not only is star running back Amini Amone Amini Amone 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB East | 2023 State UT back, but so is every starter on the offensive line.
6. Orem Tigers
Coach Sewell and his Tigers made an incredible run during the 2021 season but will look to set themselves up with a better path in 2022. Orem is deep in the trenches, and Rodger Saleapaga is one of the best pass catchers in the state.
7. Bountiful Redhawks
Head Coach Jason Freckleton and the Redhawks won the Region 5 title in 2021 for the first time since 2012 and have the pieces to repeat this year. Star safety and running back Corbin Cottle Corbin Cottle 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Bountiful | 2023 State UT returns, as do multiple starters on a defense that was top five a year ago.
8. Stansbury Stallions
After winning Region 1 in 2021, the Stallions looked primed to repeat in 2022. The Stallions return quarterback Dylan Hamilton and other key pieces to an offense that was top five in 5A in points per game.
9. Mountain Ridge Sentinels
Head Coach Mike Meifu’s squad went 8-3 in 2021, the best mark in their short program history. The Sentinels have one of the states best players on both sides of the ball in Cade Uluave Cade Uluave 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB Mountain Ridge | 2023 State UT and will once again be a tough out in 2022
10. Brighton Bengals
They may have lost their first game of the season, but Deseret Hills is the top team in 4A for a reason. Quarterback Jack Johnson Jack Johnson 6'0" | 195 lbs | QB Brighton | 2024 State UT and receiver Nash Matheson will be one of the most productive duos in the state.
