These young men are across the board with college potential at all the various levels. We’re here to highlight their improvements and updates in their recruiting. Without further ado, let’s dive into part five of this multi-part series diving into the stock risers in the class of 23.
Mr. Head is an up and coming player for St. Francis that is going to turn heads. With the departure of a very talented 22′ St. Francis Class heading off the the next level, look for Mr. Head to play a bigger role on both sides of the ball. Currently, I give him the edge at halfback as his elusiveness and shiftiness makes defenders miss in open space. On defense, he can hold his own as a cornerback as well. Not to mention that he’s added almost 20 pounds of muscle since last season. Either way, look for this young man’s production to increase as St. Francis pushes for a deep playoff run. Twitter
Mr. Villarreal’s ability to get in/out of the hole quickly and then use his foot quicks to break long runs is impressive. If you don’t fill the gaps correctly this young man has the ability to exploit that mistake making the defense pay. Most recently he’s picked up an offer from Roosevelt University as well. This young man’s potential is one to keep an eye on as his best ball is ahead of him. Twitter
Highlights
Continuing the trend of halfbacks we’re covering, Mr. Lennon is a hard runner that’s not afraid to run the defender over as well as weave in/out of defenders in open space. This young man currently holds interest across the D3 level but hasn’t picked up an offer as of yet. With that being said, look for more of his potential to come to light this fall season and more eyes to come his way. Twitter
Highlights
Mr. Watson is a versatile young man that poses a threat both in the air attack and in the run game. His vision is one to keep an eye on as he can find running lanes quickly between tackles and if the frontside running lanes are clogged up he can find the cutback lane to break a long run in the process. He most recently picked up an offer from Roosevelt University and has interest from a few other D2 institutions as well. Overall, I expect this young man’s recruiting to skyrocket after a productive fall season as more of his potential comes to light. Keep a close eye on Mr. Watson. Twitter
Highlights
Closing out the halfback stock risers in this article, Mr. McGee is more of a N/S runner that can utilize his power to run defenders over. He does so by maintaining a low center of gravity to break weak grab tackles. Most recently, he’s picked up an offer from Roosevelt University and Minnesota State University. Last season he posted over 1k rushing yards along with 10 touchdowns. Look for him to continue this production this fall season and turn some heads in the process. Twitter
