The following is part two of a two part preview for the class of 2024 top talented (athletic) New England recruits. We are evaluating all as “Athletes” after their solid sophomore campaign’s in 2021. As we stated in the part 1, we define the term “Athlete” as a player with well-rounded skills that enable them to play multiple skilled positions on the field. We identified these young men for their superior athletic skills shown early in their Varsity campaigns. As a result of their early successes, we feel with growth and future development, these athletes will easily become top recruits within New England Region and potentially nationally. Many college coaches will want to know about these young men, if they don’t already know about them today.
“Reese” is an illusive athlete and his skills are on full display on film. A dual threat QB, that is a threat with his loose hips and speed. He can easily juke a defender to make him miss. When running he zig zags to open lanes to find the end zone. He puts a nice touch on the deep balls while displaying his strength in his throws on short passes. He is also 6’3″ lean and muscular. One can easily see why he was selected as All State as a Junior. His ceiling his high and recruitment will likely explode rather sooner than later.
“Dion” is so much fun to watch. He does it all and he shows it on his sophomore film. He ball hawks. He is a menace when blitzing. A vicious tackler who makes the ball carrier pay. He also runs with the ball successfully. Wasn’t too hard to identify his “great athletic skills”. At 6’1′ he already has the frame colleges will love. Has time to continue developing and boost his recruitment. His game is worth the price of admission on any friday night…
Highlights
Really enjoyed watching and evaluating this young man. Has great athleticism. He displays elite elusiveness and speed. Has good vision and can break on the dime to find the lane. His balance is great. He has the home run ability each time he touches the ball, that just jumps on film. Awesome quick step with planting and cutting. Projected D1 recruit and has time to continue developing after graduation. Likely play RB or the slot at the next level. Will see more college interest after Jr. season.
