Continue ReadingJohnson is one of the more intriguing prospects from across Idaho and could have a very successful college career from the tight end position. He is a very smooth athlete with a big catch radius that can go up and attack the ball while winning 50/50 balls effortlessly and possessing sneaky downfield speed. Going through his Senior season, he should collect serious FBS and FCS interest.
Steadman is one of the more technically sound and physical defensive lineman across the state, and has pledged to Air Force earlier this summer. He should once again lead a loaded Rocky Mountain defense this Fall and offers nice position versatility at the next level as he can be an edge player or pack on more weight and kick inside.
Gunter is part of a big time 2023 recruiting class for the University of Idaho and they have done a great job at keeping the best talent in the state at home. Moving up in our pre-season rankings, Gunter is one of the most explosive edge rushers in Idaho and has impressive overall athleticism for the position and will fit nicely as a 4 down defensive end at the college level.
Highlights
Coming off a very nice Junior season, the hybrid linebacker currently holds an offer from San Diego and is a no brainer FCS caliber kid at outside linebacker or strong safety. He is physical in the box and can thump against bigger backs and blockers, while flashing good speed and lateral movement and cover abilities in the slot as well. Legarreta has moved up our rankings after a very nice off-season and is a candidate to continue to do so again as we move through the Fall.
Jaques is a no brainer top two-way lineman across the state and is very physical and stout against the run and at the POA. Playing with heavy hands, he is quick off the ball and establishes immediate inside hand placement while able to quickly collapse the pocket and violent shed blockers and re-direct to ball carriers. Carrol College has already offered but there is a good chance he will wind up playing in the Big Sky by the time it’s all said and done.
