With so many different age groups, weight limits, division, etc. there’s no exact science to finding middle school athletes, but they’re certainly out there. Let’s take a look at a few 2026’s that have opened my eyes, as their film has come across my desk.
Antwane Mills Antwane Mills 6'2" | 280 lbs | OL Belmont Hill | 2026 State | Massachusetts | Offensive Line
Antwane comes in as a 6-foot-3 and 270-pound Offensive Lineman ready to make his mark in the trenches. With a solid foundation, he already knows how to leverage his body to protect his quarterback. And for his size, he has sound footwork that will only get better as he enters high school. Antwane can also play Defensive Line and is a three-sport athlete listed in multiple positions for Basketball and Baseball. Antwane will attend Belmont Hill in the fall.
Daniel White | New York | Athlete
Daniel will be attending Half Hollow Hills East High School this fall and is a true athlete. He is quick and explosive and seems dedicated to the game as he is seen working out on social media quite frequently. He recently was the Defensive MVP of the NYC All-Star Game. Daniel has the ability not only to play defense at Corner Back but has the skills to be successful at Running Back as he has quick feet and fast hip movements. He also has powerful legs and his ability to stay low to the ground, but power through plays will aid in his success.
Maurice Medley | Maryland | Linebacker
As a 6-foot-3 and 210-pound Linebacker, Maurice has already picked up two D1 offers from Maryland and Boston College. He played youth ball at Maryland Heat, which is one of the top youth football programs in the country. Maurice will be taking his talents to St. Frances High School in Baltimore, MD this fall, which is also known for being a powerhouse in the game. He’s an intriguing prospect that could play with his hand in the dirt as an Edge player, but looks more comfortable as a traditional 3-4 Outside Linebacker.
Femi Babalola | Tennessee | Quarterback
Femi is a 6-foot and 165-pound Quarterback who already has a nice ball. He has a quick and fast release and a nice arch on his long balls. Femi can use his track skills to create space when he needs to move out of the pocket. He was spotted at Vanderbilt’s summer camp and came in third at NFA Quarterback Academy’s duel competition this past summer. Femi is entering Ravenwood High School this fall and will get to learn and progress behind 4-star, Chris Parson, who recently re-opened his recruitment, after de-comitting from Florida State.
Amari Dawkins | Georgia | Wide Receiver
Heading to Stockbridge High School in the fall, this three-sport athlete is looking to make an impact for his team as a Wide Receiver right away. Amari is a smooth receiver with great body control. His best asset is his hands as he’s able to catch going down the middle, compete for balls in the end zone, and make moving-the-chains catches. He is a dedicated student and his studies can translate to the field in becoming a smart ball player.
Kamron McCoy-Hall | Texas | Defensive Back
Kamron was seen camping this summer at multiple college camps. As a 6-foot-1 and 160-pound Defensive Back, he has the build to be a successful Safety on the field. With his size and frame, he is able to compete for 50/50 balls anywhere on the field, especially with his arm length. Kamron can also play Wide Reciever which will make him versatile for his team or make him more successful on the defensive side of the ball. A lot of versatility with this prospect. Can see him playing Safety as well.
Brodie Gemlo | Minnesota | Defensive Line
I’ll take a 6-foot-3 class of 2026 Defensive Tackle that can dunk a basketball any day day of the week. Gemlo is headed to 5A Power House High School program, Spring Lake Park High School. While Gemlo is still growing into his body, as most bigger linemen at this age are, he shows encouraging strength numbers in the weight room. Per his social media, he’s already bench pressing north of 200 pounds and squatting 265 pounds. More impressively is a 200-pound hang clean, which shows off the explosion and full body strength needed to be successful on the gridiron.
Grady Farley | Wisconsin | Offensive Line
At 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, Farley has an ideal frame to add on a ton of mass, weight and strength as he enters high school football. Right now he is a little bit of a project, but the potential is through the roof for Farley. He’s a very high cut prospect, with a 79″ inch wing span, which college coaches love to see with Offensive Line prospects. He’s added some strength, but needs to continue to hit the weight room hard to continue to fill out. Camped at Coastal Carolina this summer. Keep an eye out on him.
Cole Bergeron | Louisiana | Quarterback
Cole is a tall and lengthy Quarterback who is current 6-foot-3 and 170-pounds. He has a rocket for an arm and is a great pocket passer, as he seems comfortable staying in the pocket and letting the drives progress naturally. Cole has been spotted constantly working on his game at workouts and camps. He’s a player to watch for especially if he can develop his out-of-pocket throws and include a QB running game. In talking to local coaches, many feel Bergeron has a shot to be one of the top players in the state when it’s all said and done.
