Here, we take a look at some of the prospects who impressed with their sheer size and athleticism.
Keshaun Singleton Keshaun Singleton 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Meadowcreek | 2023 State GA – 2023 – ATH – Meadowcreek
Singleton is just one of many prospects on the Meadowcreek team that has received offers and interests from D1 teams. Regardless, Singleton stands alone when it comes to the tools he brings to the table. At 6’3 200 pounds, Singleton is already built extremely well and still has room to fill out. What really separates him is his athleticism and ability to move at his size. He plays on both sides of the ball but is truly a mismatch nightmare at receiver with his size and leaping ability. On one play, he soared over a defender for an incredibly physical and huge TD grab. Defensively, he has enough size to impose his will at all three levels. Singleton only improves once the pads go on, and it is no surprise that he has picked up tons of momentum on the trail.
Demarco Brownlee Demarco Brownlee 5'10" | 185 lbs | QB KIPP Atlanta Collegiate | 2023 GA – 2023 – RB – Lithia Springs
Brownlee is a prospect that is new to me on the trail, but I will definitely be keeping track of him this next season. The first thing you notice is his unreal size. At around 6’1 220, he is built like an absolute tank of an RB, and he showed it last season after rushing for 800 yards. Even if 7v7, he shows tons of promise and potential. For his size, he is a great runner and route runner out of the backfield. His rare combination of size and speed makes him a very intriguing prospect that should pick up some steam on the recruiting trail this upcoming year.
Duncan Hogg – 2023 – TE – Chattahoochee
Hogg was one of the only true tight ends at the event, and he again was another prospect that overwhelmed the rest with his rare combination of size and speed. Hogg, an all-region performer last season, made a knack out of finding soft spots in the defense and having soft hands. The 7v7 game doesn’t really do him justice, as he is a great blocker at around 6’4 200 pounds, and has room to add about 15-20 pounds if he wishes. Hogg was a mismatch problem all afternoon, and he did a great job of taking advantage of that. Hogg is one of the best players on the Chattahoochee team, so expect no shortage of targets headed his way.
