Bryson Walters Bryson Walters 6'2" | 220 lbs | LB Itawamba Agricultural | 2025 State MS , 6-2 225, Itawamba AHS, 2025
This ball hawk recorded 116 tackles last season as a freshman. He is a coach’s kid that loves to watch film. When he plays the game he plays it with a high IQ. He reads keys very well. The way he attacks the ball with knowledge is amazing. His way of knowing the game and his opponent’s next move is exciting to see. Bryson is always around the ball. That’s obvious when you talk about a guy that has over 100 tackles. It’s not hard to see how hard he studies film. A lot of his big plays are made before the other team can get their play going. This kid is going to be a big time prospect in his class for the state of MS. He already has the size and fight to be great. To go along with that he studies the game. You have heard that a time or two in this article, but I can’t stress it enough. Coaches will love this kid because he plays the game well and he is so coachable. Guys like him are born leaders who also watch and learn how to lead. He is a guy anybody would be happy to have on their team.
Jaylon Price Jaylon Price 6'3" | 205 lbs | DL Ruleville Central | 2023 State MS , 6-4 205, DE/OLB, Ruleville Central, 2023
A lot of talent has been displayed in the MS Delta for years. It’s a lot of hidden gems over there that many people don’t get a chance to hear about due to their lack of resources. Anytime I get a chance to see a player over there that has talent I take a chance and instantly jump on it. Jaylon Price Jaylon Price 6'3" | 205 lbs | DL Ruleville Central | 2023 State MS is a guy that simply does not get talked about enough. He was a ball hawk that accumulated 18 sacks last season. This kid is crazy athletic to be his age and size. This is a guy who runs a 4.6. He plays defensive end, but he can get out and cover some of the best receivers out there. He has a very quick first step off the edge and is a very solid pass rusher. He is a great tackler in open space. When you watch his film you will notice he does not allow QBs to fake him out. He is a guy that knows how to break down and make nice solid tackles. He is very quick on his feet and uses nice hands. The way he shoots those hands you can tell he has been trained with some of the best.
Kylan Egerson Kylan Egerson 5'10" | 165 lbs | DB Lafayette | 2023 State MS , 5-10 170, DB, Lafayette Co, 2023
8 ints, 10 pbu and 75 tackles is what the stat sheet reads for Egerson last season. This kid knows how to find the ball in more ways than one. He plays the game with a lot of aggression to be his size. He knows how to come up to make nice hits. He has a very good way of anticipating what route his opponent is going to run. Has a nice pair of hands and does not miss when the he has a chance to a catch the football. He is a natural born ball hawk when it comes to catching interceptions. He does very well staying disciplined in his back pedal. He breaks on the ball very well making it hard for QBs to complete passes in his vicinity. Kylan Egerson Kylan Egerson 5'10" | 165 lbs | DB Lafayette | 2023 State MS doesn’t have a lot of offers, but he is a guy that deserves to be talked about. His overall stats since has been starting in varsity are amazing.
Jeleel Fleming, 6-3 190, DB, Vicksburg, 2023
Jeleel is a true maker on the football and he is very fun to watch. Kid makes nice interceptions and he does not mind coming up making very solid hits. He plays with a very high motor and is always around the football. Especially in the passing game. Don’t leave passes lingering in the air when you are targeting a receiver around his area. It’s either going to get picked or your teammate will feel the raft of this terrific safety. He is well coached and knows how to play his position. His breaks on the ball are fantastic. The way he reads the plays and sees the field is terrific. He is truly the definition of a ball hawk when he sits back and reads the field the way he does. His films is very impressive and it isn’t hard to see why college coaches like this kid. He simply knows how to make big plays. He is the type of safety you want playing in your secondary leading your guys.
