We have seen a tremendous amount of movement in this class with numerous players moving up in the July update. The 2024 class has over 230 prospects in it from all over the state of Arkansas. We are going to look at a few prospects that shot up the rankings over the past few months.
Charleston Collins Charleston Collins 6'4" | 240 lbs | DL Little Rock Mills | 2024 State AR -Defensive Line-Little Rock Mills-6’4” 240-Pounds
The Little Rocks defensive lineman has had an incredibly productive summer. He has dominated the camp circuit and earning numerous scholarship offers in the process. Collins has earned offers from Arkansas, Georgia, Miami, and Alabama. He can take a game over and dominate the line of scrimmage with his mix of power and speed. Collins is in on every tackle and is a defensive lineman that the opposing offensive line must account for. He is a prospect that I expect to have an impressive 2022 football season. I expect him to continue to earn scholarship offers over the next few months, he is on absolute tear.
TJ Lindsey TJ Lindsey 6'5" | 260 lbs | DL Bryant | 2024 FL -Defensive Line-Bryant-6’5” 260-Pounds
The Central part of the state of Arkansas is loaded with talented defensive line prospects. Lindsey is a defensive line prospect that can shut down the opponent’s rushing attack. However, he does not stop with just terrorizing the opponent’s running backs he also can make the opposing quarterback’s life a nightmare. Lindsey has exploded on the camp circuit and earned scholarship offers from Notre Dame, Arkansas, Georgia in the process. The best is yet to come for this talented defensive lineman, and I expect him to have an impressive season for the Hornets.
Preston Davis Preston Davis 5'11" | 210 lbs | LB Little Rock Christian | 2024 State AR -Linebacker-Little Rock Christian-5’11” 210-Pounds
One of the most talented linebackers in the state, no matter the classification is Little Rock Christian’s Preston Davis Preston Davis 5'11" | 210 lbs | LB Little Rock Christian | 2024 State AR . The first thing you will notice when you turn his film is that he is all over the field. Davis is on every tackle. Last season, the young man racked up 148 tackles and has continued to work this summer. Davis is going to be a linebacker that scouts are going to want to pay attention to this season. Davis has the speed to disrupt both the run and the passing attacks of the opponent. I expect another 100-plus tackle season for the Little Rock Christian linebacker this season.
Kenneth Jordan Kenneth Jordan 6'1" | 180 lbs | RB Pulaski Academy | 2024 State AR -Running Back-Pulaski Academy-6’1” 180-Pounds
Jordan saw some action a season ago with the Bruins. However, this season has the potential to be a year where he can light up opposing defenses. Jordan rushed for almost 500 yards last season and proved to be a back that can catch the ball out of the backfield. Jordan has earned scholarship offers from both Eastern Kentucky and Marshall this offseason and I would expect to him earn some more during the course of the season. Look for Jordan to continue to be an effective weapon in the dynamic Bruins’ offense this season.
Connor Willis-Quarterback-Barton-6’3” 225-Pounds
Willis is a prospect that has had a strong offseason. He has proven to be a quarterback that can fit the ball into some tight windows. Meanwhile, he has the arm strength to force the defense to watch out for the deep ball. Willis is a quarterback that can escape the pocket and use his legs to pick up first downs. The Barton Bears are looking to take the next step this season and become a team that can contend for a playoff spot. Keeping Willis healthy will be key for what the Bears will do this season.
