The purpose of this article is to take a look at the prospects that are moving up in the rankings since the last update. The summer offseason has seen numerous players shoot up the Prep RedZone 2023 rankings and we are going to highlight a few of them in this article.
Isiah Kendall Isiah Kendall 6'5" | 180 lbs | WR Newport | 2023 State AR -Wide Receiver-Newport-6’5” 180-Pounds
The Jackson State commit continues to show up at camps and 7-on-7 tournaments and just dominate in the passing game. Kendall is a wide receiver that can take a game over if the defense cannot account for him. He is a threat in the red zone because of his 6’6” frame. Kendall’s quickness is something that should not be overlooked, he has the ability to take it the distance from anywhere on the field. The Newport Greyhound should have another strong season and after an impressive offseason Isiah Kendall Isiah Kendall 6'5" | 180 lbs | WR Newport | 2023 State AR moves into the Prep RedZone Arkansas top-10 for the class of 2023.
Malachi Henry Malachi Henry 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Van Buren | 2023 State AR -Wide Receiver-Van Buren-6’1” 175-Pounds
From a recruiting perspective Malachi Henry Malachi Henry 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Van Buren | 2023 State AR has had a terrific offseason. The young man has several scholarship offers to his credit and has the potential to earn more this season. Henry has put together strong camps all summer and has had extremely impressive 7-on-7 tournaments to his credit. Henry had a very strong showing at the Southwest Elite tournament at Shiloh Christian earlier this week. Henry moves up in this edition of the Prep RedZone 2023 class rankings.
Donovan Whitten Donovan Whitten 6'3" | 220 lbs | QB Arkadelphia | 2023 State AR -Quarterback-Arkadelphia-6’3” 220-Pounds
The Arkadelphia quarterback is a quarterback that is ready to explode on to the scene this season. He has put up excellent numbers over the past two seasons and I expect an even bigger season in 2022. Whitten has earned four scholarship offers over the course of the offseason and in the process has showcased a strong, accurate arm at every camp he has been to this summer. Whitten and the Badgers each could have a monster season and make a deep playoff run. The team that lands Whitten is getting a quarterback that could potentially when a lot of games on Saturdays in the future.
Walker Davis Walker Davis 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Benton | 2023 State AR -Offensive Line-Benton-6’3” 285-Pounds
Walker Davis Walker Davis 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Benton | 2023 State AR is a prospect that had a great summer camp season. Davis placed a verbal commitment with Arkansas State University a few weeks ago. Davis uses his mix of run and power well to keep opposing defensive linemen off-balance. He is one of those offensive linemen that seeks to finish every block and then look for someone else to block. Arkansas State got an offensive lineman that can play multiple positions along the offensive line. He moves into the top 20 with his impressive performances over the summer.
Anton Pierce Anton Pierce 6'3" | 205 lbs | DB Little Rock Mills | 2023 State AR -Defensive Back-Little Rock Mills-6’3” 205-Pounds
Little Rock Mills is a team that is extremely talented with numerous division one prospects. Defensive back Anton Pierce Anton Pierce 6'3" | 205 lbs | DB Little Rock Mills | 2023 State AR has the speed and size to play on both sides of the ball. Pierce impressed at every camp this offseason earned a scholarship offer from Army. A few weeks ago, Pierce placed his commitment to West Point. He is a prospect in the defensive backfield that does a great job of playing the ball. However, he is not afraid to deliver a hit and separate the ball from the ball carrier. Watch out for Pierce and Little Rock Mills this season, the talent is there for a deep playoff run this season.
