3A Pierce County Top Athletes: Offense

Many Athletes within the 3A programs show great potential. Here are a few who are excelling in their programs. &nbsp; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="87404" first="Gabarri" last="Johnson"], </strong> Lincoln High School, 6-1 175 QB Class of 2023 Gabarri has shown excellent potential throughout his high school career. This past season Gabarri consistently put up stellar numbers showcasing his pose, instincts, and arm strength. Johnson regularly does a great job of quickly scanning the defense and hitting the open receiver. In addition to his pocket presence, Gabarri has the ability to get out of the pocket and make plays on the ground. Gabarri is constantly making plays with every opportunity in every way possible. Gabarri is rated as a 4-star recruit with good reason. He has received multiple offers from notable programs such as Oregon, Arkansas, and Arizona State. With every year Justin has continued to progress, which is what you want to see in a great athlete. This past season he only played 7 games due to injury however he still performed well with the chance that he was given. He threw for over 1,400 yards with a 60% completion rate and 15 Touchdowns. Justin’s experience and command at the helm make him an excellent leader. He shows great composure under pressure and a cannon for an arm. The accuracy that Justin plays with is quite notable as every throw is on time and on purpose. Dempsy has been starting quarterback for his high school since freshmen year and surpassed the 1,000-yard passing marker every season. This past season alone he threw for over 1,100 yards, 12 Touchdowns, a 61% Completion rate, and a low 4 INTs for the season. Additionally, Dempsy proved his threat as a rusher recording 7 Rushing touchdowns for a total of 19 TDs for the season. James is quite the productive Quarterback with a high ceiling. What stands out to me is the ability to make accurate throws both in the pocket and off-balance. One can expect [player_tooltip player_id="155563" first="Dempsy" last="James"] to be an impact starter at the next level in 2024.
