Because there are so many athletes, teams usually place their most athletic football player behind center, giving the team a better chance to win games. But that is all changing.
Thanks to so many quarterback camps and instructors, along with several competitive events year round, the position is changing and more college coaches are heading to the Sunshine State to keep an eye on these impressive prospects.
While many are still being uncovered for the Class of 2024, we have some prospects who have started to turn the corner and are being given the opportunity to shine on the big stage.
The prospects will change many times, and as we have a few listed, we understand that more will emerge.
We run these lists for a number of reasons. One is to promote and expose the football prospects to colleges and universities who check out our website and social media. The other is to give you an opportunity to send us changes, additions or prospects that you want us to keep an eye on this coming season.
Here is a look at some of quarterbacks to keep an eye on this coming season – which include talent Miramar fast-rising passer Kael Alexander Kael Alexander 6'4" | 195 lbs | QB Miramar | 2024 FL (6-3, 175, Miramar), North Palm Beach and St. Thomas Aquinas transfer Tyler Aronson Tyler Aronson 6'3" | 215 lbs | QB Vero Beach | 2024 FL , a 6-3, 215-pounder who is now at Vero Beach, defending state champion Cedrick Bailey (6-6, 185, Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna) and impressive Anthony Barbar (6-0, 165, Fort Lauderdale Westminster Academy) to name a few,
Bradenton IMG Academy’s nationally-rated Jayden Bradford Jayden Bradford 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Osceola | 2023 FL (6-0, 185), A.J. Cussins (6-0, 195, Citra North Marion), promising A.J. Hairston (6-3, 217, Coconut Creek Monarch), athletic Malik Jackson (6-3, 185, North Miami), emerging standout Haden Klees (6-1, 165, Crawfordville Wakulla), much-improved Alberto Mendoza (6-2, 175, Miami Christopher Columbus) and Jacksonville Bolles’ Doran “D.J.” Moore (6-2, 175).
Another prospect who has been making major strides is Noah Obaseki Noah Obaseki 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Sarasota Booker | 2024 FL (6-1, 175) from Bradenton Southeast. Nationally-rated Adrian Posse (6-4, 205, Miami Christopher Columbus) continues to mature – as do James Resar (6-4, 205, Jacksonville Bishop Kenny), versatile Claudel Sherman (5-11, 175, Miami Booker T. Washington), way under the radar Joshua Townsend (5-10, 200, Homestead), gifted Riley Trujillo (6-4, 205, St. Johns Bartram Trail) and Matt Wilson Matt Wilson 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Boca Raton St. John Paul | 2023 FL (6-2, 205) from southwest Florida’s Estero High School.
As we said, these are just juniors and may are in the mix for any real playing time at the varsity level for the first time.
