With that in mind, our rankings are not just something that we post and leave alone until it’s time to change them. We profile and look at every position in every class on a daily basis.
While we have already posted out 2023 Class and have given you linebackers and running backs to watch – today we move over to the Class of 2024 to shine a spotlight on the junior linebackers across the state of Florida.
Our objective is to get player information right, so getting things out first – like 2025 and 2026 rankings – is NOT what we are all about. We still will promote and spotlight every class, but when it comes to looking into each position, out goal over the next month, before the start of the season is to put over 1,000 prospects out for all to see and learn about.
Here is a look at some of the linebackers to watch this coming season in the Class of 2024:
The group of juniors has the opportunity to be special – with many prospects already showcasing their abilities – such as T.J. Capers (6-2, 230, Miami Christopher Columbus), Adarius Hayes (6-4, 210, Largo), Denzel Johnson (6-0, 205, Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna) and Melbourne Eau Gallie’s Timajay Hayes (6-1, 225).
Proving just how deep this class is, you have versatile talent like two-sport (wrestling) standout Nicholas “Nick” Rodriguez (6-1, 195, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas), Vincent Shavers (6-0, 210, Miami Monsignor Pace), Rodney Hill Rodney Hill 6'0" | 210 lbs | LB Flagler Palm Coast | 2023 FL (5-10, 205, Flagler Palm Coast), Samadrae Hawkins (5-11, 220, Cocoa) and Miami Gulliver Prep standout Dylan Calero (6-0, 215).
KEEP AN EYE ON THESE IMPRESSIVE PROSPECTS AS WELL
While there are a number of impressive linebacker standouts who are already on the radar, we also have more juniors that you are going to need to keep an eye on. Remember, we promote football players year-round, so even if talented prospects are not on this list – or maybe lower or higher than expected, we will wat6ch and continue to change during the year.
We are fortunate to see these players live and NOT just on the same video everyone else is watching, so we have an idea of not just how they perform, but know plenty about their character, which is something that college coaches are always asking about.
Here is another wave of linebackers to watch, beginning with Davie Western transfer Kaleb Stewart (6-1, 205, Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna), Eldreen Terma (5-11, 190, Miami Edison), Keith Thompson (6-0, 225, Fort Lauderdale Dillard), Char’quez Lee (6-2, 205, Miami LaSalle Immaculata) and Reagan Johnson (6-2, 185, Jacksonville Bishop Kenny).
In addition, you have Jaiden Barron (5-11, 215, Wesley Chapel Wiregrass Ranch), fast-rising Coconut Creek athlete Allen Archie (6-1, 205), outside linebacker/defensive end Bode Burns (6-5, 205, Dunnellon), two-way (running back) player Jayden Parrish (6-2, 210, Delray Beach Atlantic) and Antarian Ward (5-10, 190, Interlachen).
The 2024 class will also boast Panhandle standout JaShawn Armstrong (6-1, 205, Fort Walton Beach Choctawhatchee), Josiah Taylor Josiah Taylor 6'0" | 220 lbs | LB Sebring | 2024 FL (6-0, 220, Sebring), outside linebacker Andrew Zock (6-2, 225, Citra North Marion), Blountstown two-year starter Amarion Hover (6-1, 205) and Jeremy Willoughby, an athletic 6-2, 210-pounder from St. Petersburg Lakewood.
Lakeland Lake Gibson’s Wade Tyer (6-0, 185), Newberry’s Jonathan Powers (6-0, 215) and Nate Lopez (5-10, 180) from Rockledge are all special. So are Chason Clark (6-3, 190, Starke Bradford County), (5-10, 215, Bonifay Holmes County), Niko Ferrero (6-0, 200, New Port Richey Mitchell), Bushnell South Sumter’s Ty Kadur (6-0, 200) and Bo Kenney (6-0, 195) from Winter Garden Horizon.
