These five players stayed in-state to showcase their talents, as they each took part in the University of Kansas’ football camp, while a few also competed at Kansas State. The group featured three ranked players from the Class of ’23, an unranked signal caller determined to make some noise this season, and one of the top ranked sophomores in the state.
Isaiah Coppage Isaiah Coppage 6'1" | 195 lbs | WR Bishop Miege | 2023 State KS – Bishop Miege, 6’1”, 195, ATH, Class of ’23
Twitter: @coppage_isaiah
Coppage was known more for his play at safety as a junior in 2021, but this season he’s looking to have a breakout year at receiver. He’s looked impressive throughout this offseason, but his performances at KU and K-State really stood out. Coppage was able to beat corners in one-on-one’s, and he displayed sharp route running and strong hands in individual drills. He should be a key contributor for the Stags’ offense this fall.
Jaden Mitchell Jaden Mitchell 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Wichita Collegiate | 2023 State KS – Wichita Collegiate, 5’11”, 175, ATH, Class of ’23

The 86th ranked prospect in the Class of ’23 has been making a very strong case to be moved up in the next rankings update. Mitchell’s sprinter speed has been well documented, and his performance while at KU’s football camp was just another reminder of how explosive he is. The Wichita Collegiate product turned in an impressive 40-yard dash time, as he was clocked at 4.42. That time is huge for Mitchell, and it should gain the attention of several recruiters.
Alonzo Morgan Alonzo Morgan 5'10" | 170 lbs | DB Blue Valley North | 2023 State KS – Blue Valley North, 5’11”, 165, DB, Class of ’23

Jaden Mitchell Jaden Mitchell 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Wichita Collegiate | 2023 State KS wasn’t the only prospect to post a blazing 40 time while at the University of Kansas. The top ranked defensive back in the Class of ’23 rankings was clocked at 4.45. This time should help Morgan continue to draw interest from FCS and D-II programs. Morgan’s day didn’t stop there though. He also put together some solid reps during one-on-one’s, as he was consistently breaking up passes. His athleticism and versatility in the secondary should have several recruiters reaching out to him during his senior year.
Jayce Glasper – Wichita NW, 6’1”, 180, QB, Class of ’24

Jayce Glasper has officially landed on Prep Redzone Kansas’ radar. The junior-to-be is currently unranked, but he won’t be for much longer. Especially after his performance while at KU’s camp. Glasper displayed a nice touch on deeper throws, good timing with the receivers, and on point accuracy. He’ll look to secure the starting job this summer for Wichita Northwest, and he should have a good shot at it with performances like this. Be sure to remember Glasper’s name this season.
Caden Butler Caden Butler 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Lincoln | 2025 State CA – Olathe North, 6’0”, 170, WR, Class of ’25
Twitter: @Caden_Butler3
Butler continues to shine as he heads into his sophomore year. The 3rd ranked prospect in the Class of ’25 rankings was back to dominating the competition again. He already displays so many good habits at a young age. While at KU’s camp he consistently got separation from defenders at the top of his route, and did a great job of leaning his body in order to get the opposition to bite early. Butler also excelled at looking the catch all the way in, and high pointing the ball. He could possibly see some early offers come his way during his sophomore year.
