Here are some of the offensive line standouts from session two that made a good impression in one on ones.
Everett Champlin– The Woodlands High school- Class of 2024
Everett is a 6’4 270 pound prospect out of The Woodlands, Texas. He was fluid and efficient with pass sets and position-specific movements. He did a great job snapping off punches and making the defender go through his hands to get to the bag. He took most of his reps at tackle when I saw him and he looked very comfortable taking on different styles of rushers and moves. He has long arms and a lean frame that will serve him well at the next level. He put on a very impressive performance and his development will be an exciting one to watch this fall.
Colton Panther – LD Bell High school- Class of 2023
Colton is 6’0, 270-pound interior offensive lineman out of LD Bell high school in Dallas, Texas. He displayed a great off-hand in one-on-ones and did a good job striking up and through the defender to end their rush. He has a 4.1 GPA and possesses an the versatility to be able to play guard, center, and long snap which will help his recruitability. He did a great job covering guys up and sinking the hips while anchoring versus power rushers.
Scotty Parker Scotty Parker 6'3" | 305 lbs | OL Lewisville | 2023 State TX -Lewisville high school- Class of 2023
Scotty is an impressive 6’3 305-pound prospect that had a big day and displayed a great baseline of technique and fundamentals. Based on his performance the University of North Texas decided to pull the trigger and offer him a full scholarship. He took reps at all five positions during the camp and showed flashes of dominance with his set and hands. He will be relied on heavily for the Farmers playoff hopes this upcoming fall.
Jake Young – JJ Pearce – Class of 2024
Jake is a 6’5 270 pound prospect out of Dallas that had a good day and got better as the day progressed. He had a huge spring ball where he played all 5 positions and had extensive reps at center and guard. During camp, he started to settle in once the one on one’s got rolling. He had some smooth sets at tackle and got reps at both guards and had an overall good showing on the day.
Darwin Murillo – South Garland High school – Class of 2023
Darwin is a 6’4 290 pound rising prospect out of Garland Texas that had a great day of work. He surprised me with the power that he has in his hands along with the ability to strike and refit. He has a scholarship offer on the table from Lamar University and I predict his recruitment will pick up more as the summer progresses. He did a great job staying inside out and vicing up his defender once he made contact. Here are a few examples below.
