Continue ReadingWith spring football in full swing, programs are getting an early idea of what it is their team may look like come the fall. Players are getting an idea of what is working for them as far as their training and diets are concerned. At the same time, new and veteran coaches are figuring out what may or may not be working for them. Whether it is the drills they do, or the scrimmage games played coaches and players are fine tuning their games on the regular. In this series I will be covering as many schools as I can, from as many different classes as I can. ln my fifth article of this series we will take a look at the class 7A (Fort Smith) Northside Grizzlies.
Camron Massey Camron Massey 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Northside | 2025 State AR #1

Camron Massey Camron Massey 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Northside | 2025 State AR knows his speed, and exactly when to use it. When this young man turns on the jets, it’s goodbye defender. Camron plays the ball really well when it is in the air, putting himself in good positions to make the catch. At 5’11″ 160lbs, Massey is a danger in the running game as well. The Northside staff uses Camron very well, utilizing his multi-tool type of talent. In Massey’s film you see him line up at WR, you see him lined up as a HB, you see him used in the running game and passing game. Camron is the type of player that opposing coaches lose sleep over. He looks to be a very important weapon for the Grizzly offense in 2022.
Carter Tecmire #7
QB
c/o 2025
Carter Tecmire is on the rise and ready to lead this Grizzly offense in the 2022 season. Standing at 6’3″ 165lbs, Carter has a tendency of making good decisions on the field and his film shows that. Tecmire has a very good arm and is not afraid to make any type of throw. He also is a major threat when he decides to run with the ball, making defenders miss and really have to work to get him down. Carter has all of the tools to help his team take the next step.
Daemarion Savoy Daemarion Savoy 6'2" | 200 lbs | WR Fort Smith Northside | 2023 State AR #17
CB
c/o 2023
When watching Daemarion’s film, I came away very impressed with this young man’s ability to cover the entirety of the football field. He is the definition of a “ball hawk.” Now, it definitely helps that Savoy runs a 4.5 40-yard dash. With wheels like that, it’s no wonder how Daemarion can cover so much ground. He displays great vision when the ball is in the air and is not afraid to get physical with receivers. On top of all of that he can make just about any type of tackle. Savoy is a great piece to this Northside defense and looks to take his game to the next level in 2022.
Jamoni Benton Jamoni Benton 6'3" | 340 lbs | OL Fort Smith Northside | 2023 State AR #75

Jamoni Benton Jamoni Benton 6'3" | 340 lbs | OL Fort Smith Northside | 2023 State AR is a mauling machine my friends! Standing a mere 6’4″ 340lbs, Benton puts his power on display. When watching his film I came away thinking two things: first was that he loves his pancake blocks, second was that with just a little bit of polishing this young man could really do something special at the next level. I am sure that the offensive staff of the Northside Grizzlies are happy that this young man is on their offensive line. The Grizzlies and Benton look to take this team to new heights in the 2022 season.
