Preseason RB’s Set to Stand Out

<span style="font-weight: 400;">While there are plenty of backs in the state of Georgia who have stood out as talented prospects, there have been a few standout players to this point of time who we have in mind going into next season as some of the most probable standout players in the RB position group. Below, we have listed a few of these prospects, and firmly believe that they are worth a look before the season quickly approaches.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="325155" first="Brandon" last="Hood"]- Eagle’s Landing</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">When watching Hood’s tape, it comes as no surprise that Power 5 programs have jumped on the bandwagon with offering him within the past few months. Not only does he run with good body control, but he does so at a good pad level, and with good balance. He does not get too out of character with his running style, and his burst, long speed, and stride all put him in position to make big gains on the ground. With this, Hood also is very consistent when it comes to how efficiently he changes direction and uses his vision to run through the proper hole, and work to the second level. At the second level, his ability to keep his legs moving through contact, and to shake tackles can also be seen, which we believe will help him to gain even more offers once the season rolls around.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="335441" first="Bryce" last="Hicks"]- Carrollton</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Not only is it fun to watch Hicks carry the football, but it is exciting to see the positive results in the yards gained when doing so. He often takes the ball the distance, and he does not have a problem with running through contact when he has to push through defenders. Hicks also does a good job of playing with vision, and changing direction with efficient footwork. Along with this, Hicks also does not run with wasted movement, making him an even more appealing prospect when projecting his overall talent, and ability to translate to the next level if given the opportunity.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="321265" first="Jamarion" last="Wilcox"]- South Paulding</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Wilcox not only has a 3 star ranking already on most major platforms, but he consistently proves the reasons why this is the case when he lines up in the backfield. As a whole, he plays like a complete back, and he also shows to be able to allow his speed to be lethal in both short yardage situations, and when he attempts to make long runs. His overall bust, and explosive ability with the football in his hands happens most naturally, allowing him to play at a good pad level, and change direction with little wasted movement, and raw bend. Next season, expect him to continue to develop as one of the most talented backs in the state.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="330757" first="Charlie" last="Pace"]- Colquitt County</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">One of the traits that stands out about Wilcox right away is his ability to play with short area quickness when needed. He finds ways to bounce off of tackles, and gain quick yardage, no matter how tough the situation. In doing so, he runs at a good pad level, and is able to quickly change direction with his efficient footwork. Along with this, Pace also runs with a good stride, which can be seen to be effective as he allows his long speed to help him to gain yards after contact, as well as touchdowns. </span>
