Mid-Week News to Pay Attention To 6-15-22

Between team camps and 7-on-7 tournaments, to go along with scholarship offers it is extremely busy week in the state of Arkansas. Today we are going to look at a few prospects that have had an impressive offseason up to this point. The offseason is just getting going with plenty of camps and tournaments to go this offseason. <strong>Randall Davis-Offensive Line-Little Rock Parkview-2024</strong> The Parkview Patriots have a talented roster. Randall Davis is an impressive offensive lineman that can play the guard or the tackle positions. He has good power and explodes off of the line of scrimmage quickly. Davis has had a strong offseason and he opened up some eyes at the Central Arkansas camp. He has the power to take the game over and I look forward to seeing what he can do during the 2022 football season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="204437" first="Luke" last="Buchanan"]-Quarterback-Har-Ber-2023</strong> One quarterback that is continuing to hone his craft in impressive fashion is [player_tooltip player_id="204437" first="Luke" last="Buchanan"]. During the 2021 season, Buchanan had a knack for throwing a strong and accurate deep ball. Buchanan’s pocket presence is impressive, the Har-Ber signal caller knows when to escape the pocket to use his legs to pick up yardage. He has the potential to have another strong season this season. Buchanan picked up a scholarship offer from Arkansas Tech earlier in the week and he is one quarterback that I expect to earn more offers this season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="303140" first="Harris" last="Vinson"]-Running Back-Bentonville West-2025</strong> The Wolverines of Bentonville West have a roster that is talented coming up through the ranks. Vinson has put on display an impressive ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. At the Dallas Mega-Camp, Vinson ran a strong 4.6 forty-yard dash. Versatility is a word to describe Vinson. He can split out at the wide receiver position or line up at the running back position. Vinson is going to be a prospect to watch out for over the next couple of seasons. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="228033" first="Tayshawn" last="Edwards"]-Wide Receiver-Warren-2027</strong> Before you know it the 2027 class is starting to earn the spotlight in the state of Arkansas. From the wide receiver position, Edwards is a dangerous prospect to attempt to cover. He has the speed to stretch the field vertically. Warren has a history of producing talented wide receivers and Edwards is the next one rising up through the ranks. Edwards can work the slot position or the outside position with equal effectiveness. Edwards earned a scholarship offer from Ole Miss with his performance in Oxford over the weekend. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="211161" first="Brenton" last="Brasfield"]-Wide Receiver-Beebe-2025</strong> The Beebe Badgers have an extremely talented sophomore class this season. Brasfield is a wide receiver that knows exactly where he is on the field at all times. The route running that Brasfield produces is crisp. He is a dangerous wide receiver and a threat to score from anywhere on the field. Brasfield has performed well at several 7-on-7 competitions as well as the Arkansas camp held this past weekend. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="149579" first="Dax" last="Goff"]-Linebacker-Booneville-2024</strong> [player_tooltip player_id="149579" first="Dax" last="Goff"] has had a busy offseason. The multisport athlete has been producing on the baseball diamond as well as the football field. With 4.69 field, the Booneville linebacker does not shy away from contact, and he is always around the ball carrier. Goff plays great on both sides of the ball, and he has been impressing at several football camps this offseason including Arkansas Tech and the Arkansas camps. Keep an eye on Goff, I expect another impressive season from the Booneville athlete.
