Continue ReadingEach year, Lassiter hosts their Lutzie 7v7 tournament in honor of Philip Lutzenkirchen, a former Lassiter and Auburn standout that tragically passed in 2014. This year, teams from all across the state gathered for what turned out to be a great day of competition.
Here, we take a look at some of the WR and DBs that stood out.
Sacovie White Sacovie White 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Cass | 2024 State GA – 2024 – Cass
White came out of almost nowhere earlier this month when UGA offered him following a strong performance at their 7v7. After getting eyes on him, I can definitely see why the Dawgs are so high on him. White was practically unguardable the entire afternoon. Even when the other teams knew the ball was coming his way, White was able to do some serious damage. He is incredibly explosive off the line, and he is one of the best route runners I have seen in person. On top of that, he has outstanding ball skills for a receiver that is shorter in height. White also lined up and made some plays at DB at times. It is clear that White has the potential to develop into a great player, and I am happy to say that I saw him before he truly hit his full potential.
2024 WR Sacovie White Sacovie White 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Cass | 2024 State GA (@SacovieW) with an impressive TD catch during today’s Lutzie 7-on-7. Easy to see why Georgia offered him following a 7-on-7 in Athens earlier this month pic.twitter.com/urHFTRWEPC

Cayden Lee Cayden Lee 5'11" | 150 lbs | WR Hillgrove | 2023 State GA – 2023 – Kennesaw Mountain
Lee was one of the more noteworthy prospects coming into the event, as he holds well over a dozen offers from PO5 schools. I was incredibly impressed with his focus when reeling in deep balls. As I mentioned in a previous article, Lee came away with possibly the play of the day with an incredible one-handed grab over a defender, and somehow got his feet down. All afternoon, Lee showed the unique ability to make plays at all three levels and find soft spots in the secondary. He also showcased his soft hands and ability to reel in the ball while in traffic. Lee and Kennesaw Mountain had a great season in 2021, and they have the ability to be even better this upcoming fall.
How about this catch from Cayden Lee Cayden Lee 5'11" | 150 lbs | WR Hillgrove | 2023 State GA …
He’s a blue chipper for a reason.

Marqavious Saboor – 2024 – Kell
Saboor arrived in time for tournament play after taking care of some things academically. Despite the circumstances, Saboor stole the show and played at an extremely high level. Saboor kicked off tournament play with a huge TD on the very first snap. After that, he finished with 6 TDs and 4 INTs as he helped lead Kell on a run to the semifinals. The very explosive and versatile prospect already holds an offer from Ole Miss, and one source tells me he anticipates more on the way following the Corky Kell Classic in week 1. That same source also told me that Saboor is “One of the most talented kids I’ve been around”. Kell will take on Cherokee Bluffs on August 17th at Johns Creek.
I will say this… @d1Quavo today at Lutzie… 🔥🔥🔥
Overcame circumstances and put on a SHOW. Proud of you kiddo. Now do MORE.

Keshaun Singleton Keshaun Singleton 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Meadowcreek | 2023 State GA – 2023 – Meadowcreek
The entire Meadowcreek team played with a competitive fire the entire afternoon, so it is hard to limit their standouts to just one player. However, I was extremely impressed with Singleton all afternoon. To put it in simple terms, Singleton is a freak. He stands at around 6’3 200 pounds and has incredible athleticism with a knack for making plays. On one play, he lined up at receiver and made a very impressive grab over a defender for a TD. On defense, the prescience of his long frame and physicality was felt even when he wasn’t the one making plays. Singleton has numerous D1 and PO5 offers, and I would expect plenty more to roll in over the next few months.
Can’t help but notice 2023 ATH Keshaun Singleton Keshaun Singleton 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Meadowcreek | 2023 State GA out of Meadowcreek (GA).
Looks all of 6’3 200, with room to fill out. Moves well too.
