Players get bigger, faster, stronger, and some change their atmosphere in all to highlight their skills in a program that suits them better. We are taking a look at some new additions to teams around the state that will make an immediate impact on the field.
Ade Olanegan Ade Olanegan 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Riverdale Baptist | 2023 State MDTransfer from North Point to Riverdale Baptist. Ade is a strong-armed veteran quarterback. I had the opportunity to watch Olanegan play a lot on the 7-on-7 circuit with 97Octane out of PG County this of-season, he’s very composed, shows strong mechanics, and good decision making. Last season he led North Point to a 7-4 record and a 4A playoff appearance.
Isaiah Neal Isaiah Neal 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL St. Frances | 2023 State MDreminiscing #mmc @CoachRAlleyne13 @coachpetre pic.twitter.com/puVzU5CXQj

Transfer from Gonzaga to Saint Francis Academy. Neal is a huge add for the Panthers, his paring with 4-star Dashawn Womack Dashawn Womack 6'5" | 240 lbs | DL St. Frances | 2023 State MD is a very intriguing defensive front. Neal was an impact player for the Eagles, asserting his dominance in the prestigious WCAC conference. Neal already holds offers from power 5 schools such as Ohio State and Michigan, his recruiting stock will skyrocket if he continues his dominance with the Panthers.
De’Andre Barreto De’Andre Barreto 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Rock Creek Christian | 2023 State MDSpring 2022 film!

Transfer from Laurel to Rock Creek Christian. Barreto is a very dynamic player, with a great deep ball and elusiveness. Last season he passed for 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns. Barreto will be a weapon for the Rock Creek offense this season, along with his explosive counterpart next on our list.

Kai Glass | 6’0 180lbs | WR/DB | Rock Creek Christian ’23|

Transfer from Laurel to Rock Creek Christian. Glass is a deep ball and big play weapon. His chemistry with Barreto will be valuable to the Eagles. His run after the catch ability is what sets him apart from the typical receiver. The addition of Glass makes this receiving core, with Aaron Lewis Aaron Lewis 6'1" | 190 lbs | WR C.H. Flowers | 2025 State MD even more dangerous, expect big plays from his offense.

Mekhi Butler | 6’0 165lbs | Saint Francis Academy ’24|
Transfer from Bowie to Saint Francis Academy. Butler was a very productive corner for the Bulldogs in 2021 the season as a sophomore. I had the opportunity to see Butler in action at the Great American Rivalry Series game versus Elanore Roosevelt where he recorded an interception and played solid pass defense. Butler has a high ceiling for development and he’s already on his climb. He’s a DB you should keep an eye on this season, his recruiting has already begun to warm up with offers from Boston College, Memphis, Buffalo, and Georgia Tech.
