This is a list comprised of the top rising seniors in the Baltimore Metro area (Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, Harford County, Anne Arundel County, Carrol County, and Frederick County) who are accomplished on the field, off the field, and slated for a big year the next following season. Here is a continuation of some of the Baltimore area Running Backs that were named to the BTC Super 22 Team.
Dillan Watkins Dillan Watkins 6'0" | 215 lbs | RB Atholton | 2023 State MD | 6’1’’ 215 lbs | Running Back | Atholton High School
Watkins is the 16th ranked Running Back in the state of Maryland and was named to the All County Team. He ran for 665 rushing yards, and had 109 receiving yards for a total of 774 all purpose yards. Atholton finished 10-2 last fall before losing in the State Quarterfinal to Chesapeake, and a huge part of ther success relied on the running of Watkins who is currently receiving some interest from Villanova.
Carson Smith Carson Smith 6'2" | 210 lbs | RB Middletown | 2023 State MD | 6’1’’ 220 lbs | Running Back | Middletown High School
Smith earned 2nd Team All State honors as a RB last season. He led Middletown HS to an 8-3 record and the 2nd round of the playoffs before losing to Glenelg. Smith holds an offer from Brown University, but has interest from Navy, Air Force, Maryland, Colgate, Monmouth, Army, Lafayette, Sacred Heart, Wagner, Davidson, Princeton, William and Mary, Harvard, and Columbia.
Jaedon Alston Jaedon Alston 5'7" | 195 lbs | RB Stratford | 2023 MD | 5’9’’ 195 lbs | Running Back | Concordia Prep
Alston is the 17th ranked Running Back who earned several accolades during last season. He was named All State and All MIAA B Conference as a RB after rushing for 12 touchdowns on the season. Concordia finished with a 10-2 record and the MIAA B Championship last year, and Alston’s presence gives them an opportunity to repeat that success. He currently has offers from Valdosta State and Notre Dame College (OH), and is also receiving interest from Howard, Villanova, West Virginia Weslyan, Delaware State, Rhode Island, Towson, and Shepherd.
Jordan Fiorenza Jordan Fiorenza 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Dundalk | 2023 State MD | 5’9’’ 180 lbs | Running Back | Dundalk High School
Fiorenza, the 10th ranked RB in the state of Maryland, was a huge part of Dundalk’s success last season and their State Championship run. The Owls junior running back accounted for 1,494 rushing yards , and 311 receiving yards for a total of 1,838 all purpose yards. With him and many of the Owls offensive line returning, look for the State Runner-ups to make another run for the title.
Andrew Peperone | 5’11’’ 185 lbs | Running Back | Mount Hebron High School
Peperone is another RB who was named to the BTC Super 22 Team. The Mount Hebron junior Running Back ran a 4.4 in the 40 yard dash at a camp last month, and was a key compnent to the Vikings rushing attack. Mt. Hebron went 5-6 last season and made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs before losing to Urbana. However, they averaged over 20 points a game that was spearheaded by the play of Peperone.
