2024s, it is your time to shine! Our latest rankings update dropped today, and with that a new top 10 has as well. This 2024 class has a lot of talent to it so far, but is continuing to grow. However, the top 10 could go down as a historic class in Mississippi. Many of these players have already heard their name called by college coaches nation wide. With all that being said, let’s dive into the reasons behind our most recent top 10 class.
1. Kamarion Franklin Kamarion Franklin 6'6" | 255 lbs | DL Lake Cormorant | 2024 State MS | Lake Cormorant
A one man wrecking crew, Kamarion Franklin Kamarion Franklin 6'6" | 255 lbs | DL Lake Cormorant | 2024 State MS takes over the No. 1 spot in the 2024 class. Turn on the tape and it is easy to see why. Franklin makes a strong case to be the best overall player in the state regardless of class and has the making of a future NFL player. At 6’6″ 260, Franklin moves like a skill player but has the power of a college defensive lineman already. His elite get off, pass rushing moves, and ability to bend off the edge make him one of the trench players in the country. Franklin is borderline impossible to block and dominated every offensive lineman he played against last season. Only a rising junior, Franklin has the opportunity to rewrite the record books over his last 2 seasons of HS ball. After that, he will have no shortage of college suitors including the likes of Alabama, Texas, Michigan, LSU, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss among many others.
2. Jimothy Lewis | Madison Ridgeland Academy
A rare type of offensive tackle, MRA’s Jimothy Lewis checks in at the No. 2 spot. Lewis has been a known commodity for a while now, but continues to prove why he is one of the nation’s best OL prospects on the field. At 6’6″ 275, Lewis has the length and athleticism that college coaches search far and wide for. His film is reminiscent of former Laurel offensive tackle Charles Cross who was recently selected No. 9 overall in the 2022 NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks. Lewis has great lower body flexibilty, which helps him excel in pass protection. He has quick and active feet and does a great job at mirroring incoming defenders movements. He has a powerful first punch that launches defenders back as well. Lewis holds offers from Georgia, Michigan, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and plenty more.
3. Daniel Hill Daniel Hill 6'1" | 220 lbs | WR Meridian | 2024 State MS | Meridian
The do-it-all athlete checks in at the No. 3 spot this update. Daniel Hill Daniel Hill 6'1" | 220 lbs | WR Meridian | 2024 State MS had an explosive season last year being the go to guy in the Meridian offense. Hill took snaps at running back, but spent most his time at wide receiver where he is being recruited to at the next level. Hill stands at a massive 6’1″ 225 and is easily one of the biggest receivers in the state. Make no mistake though, his size does not slow him down at all. An explosive runner with great contact balance, it is hard not to throw around some Deebo Samuel comparisons to Hill’s game. The rising junior is electric with the ball in his hands and can score from anywhere on the field. Hill holds offers from Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and many others.
4. Braylon Burnside Braylon Burnside 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH Starkville | 2024 State MS | Starkville
A two way stud at wide out and defensive back, Braylon Burnside Braylon Burnside 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH Starkville | 2024 State MS claims the 4th overall spot in this rankings update. The Starkville product has been a highly regarded name since he entered high school and for good reason. There isn’t a thing on the field that Burnside cannot do. On offense, he runs great routes and can leap over defenders to catch passes. His ball skills are some of the best in the nation; there isn’t a pass that Burnside cannot track down and pull out of the air. On defense, Burnside shows a high football IQ and understanding of route concepts. He frequently jumps routes before the ball is thrown, creating an easy turnover before the quarterback can even realize what has happened. Whether he plays offense or defense at the next level, it is easy to see that he will have success. Burnside lists offers from Oregon, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Florida State among others.
5. Isaiah Autry Isaiah Autry 6'6" | 280 lbs | OL Itawamba Agricultural | 2024 State MS | Tupelo Christian
An athletic tackle out of Tupelo Christian, Isaiah Autry Isaiah Autry 6'6" | 280 lbs | OL Itawamba Agricultural | 2024 State MS was born to be a Division 1 talent. His mother played basketball at the University of Tennessee for legendary coach Pat Summit. Autry has made a name for himself though. The massive tackle prospect has some of the best athleticism out of all the offensive linemen in the nation. He is a smooth mover who looks fantastic in space. Autry has quick feet and plays with great pad level. What stands out most about his game is the motor he plays with. There isn’t a block that he doesn’t finish through the whistle bullying defenders into the dirt. Autry currently holds offers from Ole Miss, Tennessee, Indiana, and several others.
6. Chris Davis Chris Davis 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB Picayune | 2024 State MS | Picayune
One of the biggest risers in recruiting circles this spring, Chris Davis Chris Davis 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB Picayune | 2024 State MS checks in at the No. 6 spot in our updated 2024 rankings. Although he splits time with Picayune’s rising senior running back Dante Dowdell Dante Dowdell 6'2" | 215 lbs | RB Picayune Memorial | 2023 State MS , Davis has made a name for himself. The 6’0″ 170 back has rare speed to him, easily timing in the 4.4 range. Davis is an elusive runner who makes defenders miss in the open field. His vision is incredibly as he allows holes to develop and hits them with a rapid change of burst. If Davis gets to the edge, it is game over. He is just too fast for most high school defenses to handle. While he currently holds offers from Ole Miss, Oregon, Mississippi State, and Georgia Tech, his offer sheet is only beginning to fill.
7. Noreel White Noreel White 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR St. Martin | 2024 State MS | St. Martin
Holding on to the top WR spot, St. Martin’s Noreel White Noreel White 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR St. Martin | 2024 State MS checks in at the No. 7 overall spot in this rankings update. White is one of the most technically sound wide outs in the state – his route running and ability after the catch are off the charts. He has good speed in the open field and can cut on a dime while running routes or making defenders miss. If the ball is in the air, there’s a pretty high chance that White is going to come down with it. White does an exceptional job at high pointing the football and tracking it downfield. The star WR holds offers from Florida State, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Troy, but is bound to add more in time.
8. John White John White 6'0" | 200 lbs | QB Madison Ridgeland Academy | 2024 State MS | Madison Ridgeland Academy

With a gunslinger type mentality, there isn’t a throw in the book that White is afraid to make or can’t complete. The rising star quarterback has great confidence in the pocket and shows advanced footwork and mechanics as well. His arm strength allows him to make big time throws downfield with accuracy. White throws with anticipation and understands how to progress from read to read. Currently holding offers from Southern Miss, Florida Atlantic, and Liberty among others, big things are on the horizon.

The blazing fast linebacker stands at 6’2″ 230 and is every college defensive coordinators dream at the position. Clark has great speed going all directions and can hawk down any ball carrier on the field. His athleticism allows him to be a force in the backfield, but also cover wide receivers and tight ends down field. Clark plays the game at 100 MPH and anybody standing in his way will feel it. This guy hits like a freight train and punishes ball carriers that come his direction. Clark currently holds offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Memphis, and several local JuCos.
10. Jeffery Rush Jeffery Rush 6'2" | 230 lbs | DL Pascagoula | 2024 State MS | Pascagoula
At the final spot in the top 10, Pascagoula’s Jeffery Rush Jeffery Rush 6'2" | 230 lbs | DL Pascagoula | 2024 State MS has risen in the rankings. Rush put up a huge season last year showing tremendous development to his pass rushing abilities. Due to his overall power and speed, Rush commands a lot of double teams from opposing linemen, but repeatedly beats them. Rush has great initial quickness off the ball, but what stands out most about him is the power he plays with. He does a great job at driving offensive lineman back into the quarterback, then separating using his length to create a sack. Rush currently holds offers from Florida State, Southern Miss, and Central Arkansas, but is bound to see more schools come in with time.
