In this article, we are going to look ahead to the fall and some prospects that are expected to have a big 2022 football season. Several prospects are players that folks might already be familiar with. However, the time to start preparing for the 2022 season is now.
Bryce Perkins Bryce Perkins 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Van Buren | 2024 State AR -Quarterback-Van Buren-2024
Perkins was lighting up the Friday night skies before a collarbone injury shortened a terrific 2021 season. Perkins has a strong arm and has no problem throwing with some force or taking a little off of it and throwing with some touch. He does a good job of keeping his eyes down the field and looking for his wide receivers to come open. Perkins has good mobility, and the potential is there for a strong 2022 football season from the Van Buren signal caller.
LJ Robbins-Wide Receiver-Greenwood-2024
It should come as no surprise to see a Greenwood wide receiver on this list. Robbins uses his quickness and shiftiness extremely well when he gets into the open field. He does a good job of looking the pass in and not running without the ball. Robbins is a prospect that I expect to see have a big 2022 season for the Bulldogs. Greenwood is always talented, and this coming season does not appear to be any different.
DaMari Smith DaMari Smith 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Fort Smith Northside | 2023 State AR -Wide Receiver-Fort Smith Northside-2023
The Northside wide receiver has excellent speed and is a headache for opposing defensive coordinators to keep track of on the field. He is effective in the slot and at the outside wide receiver positions. Smith has had an incredible season running track for the Grizzlies this season. He is looking to have a strong 2022 football season and he is a prospect that I expect to open plenty of eyes this fall.
Michael Hayes Michael Hayes 5'10" | 155 lbs | DB Joe T. Robinson | 2025 State AR -Defensive Back-Joe T. Robinson-2025
The Robinson Senators are a talented group on both sides of the ball again this season. Michael Hayes Michael Hayes 5'10" | 155 lbs | DB Joe T. Robinson | 2025 State AR is going to be a player to watch in the secondary this season. He is not afraid to get aggressive with opposing wide receivers and does a great job of playing the ball while in the air. Hayes has the speed to stick with any receiver and he will not get beat deep. Look for Hayes to open some eyes this season he is a prospect to keep an eye on in 2022.
Omarion Robinson Omarion Robinson 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Little Rock Parkview | 2025 State AR -Defensive Back-Little Rock Parkview-2025
Omarion Robinson Omarion Robinson 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Little Rock Parkview | 2025 State AR is a prospect that is catching the eyes of scouts and it would surprise me if he did not have an impressive 2022 football season. He is always around the football and wants to be in on every play. Robinson tracks the ball well in the air and he has no problem separating the ball from the ballcarrier. With several scholarship offers to his credit; I expect a strong season from the Parkview Patriot in 2022.
Mytorian Singleton Mytorian Singleton 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Bryant | 2024 State AR -Wide Receiver-Bryant-2024
Singleton is a prospect that closed the 2021 season in strong fashion and has opened plenty of eyes at performance camps during the offseason. The Bryant wide receiver has the speed to terrorize opposing defensive backs. Singleton gives Bryant a wide out that can take it the distance from anywhere on the field. Bryant has built a dynasty over the past few seasons, and I expect another strong season from the Hornets as well as Singleton.
