We are taking a look at some new additions to teams around the state that will make an immediate impact on the field.
Ray Moore
Ray
Moore
6'5" | 170 lbs | QB
Mervo | 2024
State
MD
Transfer from Avalon School to Mervo. Moore is a rising star in the in the Baltimore city area. The pairing of Mervo’s defending champion team and Moore’s skillset is actually intriguing. He has an accurate arm and can extend plays with his feet. The Mustangs will be allowed to run their explosive offense and I expect them to start fast. Moore will have 2 years in this offense, his future looks bright with this program.

Transfer from Archbishop Curley to Mervo. Budd is a do all back, he can make defenders miss in open field, catch out of the backfield and block. At 5’9 195lbs he is a tough tackle. His addition to Mervo’s offense will give them a good balance to their running back stable. The Mustangs have a speedster, Budd brings power, elusiveness, and a hard running style. It will be exciting to watch this backfield tandem this season.

Marquis Edmond II
Marquis
Edmond II
6'2" | 190 lbs | DB
Milford Mill | 2023
State
MD
Transfer from Concordia Prep to Milford Mill. Versatile athlete who is a physical specimen. Edmond is a big bodied receiver at 6’2 185lbs, he will be a much needed counterpart to the speedy Deshaun Shell for the Millers. Edmond can contribute on defense as well as a strong safety, rover, or athletic outside linebacker, Milford has a plug and play player on their hands who is hungry ,waiting for the opportunity to showcase his talent. Being away from the star studded Concordia roster of last season will allow Edmond to be more of a key component in the offense.

Corey Jones Corey Jones 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Milford Mill | 2023 State MD
Transfer from Perry Hall to Milford Mill. Jones is a big play threat and will be a sparkplug for the millers. Jones is not a new face amongst the Baltimore County teams, he made big play after big play for Perry Hall last season. He contributes in the receiving , rushing, and special teams game, with the ability to take it the distance in either way. Over the off-season he has been terrorizing the 7-on-7 and camp circuit. He has developed as a deep ball threat and consistently shows impressive ball skills and body control.

Cortney Davis Cortney Davis 6'6" | 220 lbs | QB Wise | 2023 State MDOffer: West Liberty University
Transfer from Poly to Henry A. Wise. Davis is a prototype quarterback at 6’6 215lbs. He has a strong arm and is an athlete in the pocket. His skillset in the wise offense will flow allowing him to show off his arm. Wise has a strong team surrounding Davis which should give him a good amount of confidence under center. Davis is a very polished QB who has been on the scene all offseason, really increasing his stock. He’s showcased his talent at the All-American National Combine, Battle 7-on-7 Tournaments, and the Elite 11 Regional Showcase, expect Davis to hit the field at full speed this season.
