The offensive line group in the 2024 class is incredibly talented. We have already began to identify a lot of college bound prospects, and added a ton to the rankings this past update. Let’s break down a few of them who stood out to us with a lot of potential. We will continue breaking down this group over time due to the depth at the position!

Standing at 6’1" 255, [player_tooltip player_id="137387" first="George" last="Ballou"] checks into our rankings for the first time as the 14th ranked lineman in this update. Ballou is a contact loving guard who made a name for himself in the run game. He plays with good pad level and shows the ability to bend well into his stance. Balllour has a fast first step and explodes off the ball using his lower body power. In space as a puller, Ballou plays some of his best ball. He shows clean footwork and good drive on initial contact. As a pass protector, Ballou’s quickness benefits him, as he is able to quickly pass set and take on incoming defensive linemen. Talented guard prospect that should have another big year as a junior.

A tackle prospect that should draw some college attention soon, Houston’s [player_tooltip player_id="311644" first="Will" last="Echoles"] stands at 6’4" 305. Playing left tackle last season, Echoles stood out as a dominant player in 4A. When this guy gets hands on, it is over for the defender. Echoles may be a bigger guy, but this bigger guy sure can move. He has great quickness in space and shows the ability to fire off the ball and gradually work to the second level. Echoles has a naturally powerful upper body that combines well with his rapid lower leg drive. What stands out most about his game is the intensity he plays with. You do not want to line up across from this guy unless you want to end up on your back every snap.

Playing his sophomore season at Neshoba Central, [player_tooltip player_id="344084" first="Brady" last="Parkerson"] has recently transferred into St Joseph. He also finds himself ranked as the 6th offensive lineman in the 2024 class rankings update. A lean and mean tackle prospect, Parkerson stands at 6’3" 260 with plenty of room left to continue filling out. Parkerson could have some of the best feet in the class. This guy moves like a skill player. Parkerson has natural strength to him and loves to dominate defenders. He bends well and shows great athleticism when working to the second level and in the screen game. With his grit and overall ability, Parkerson should hear from college coaches in due time.

A highly athletic left tackle prospect out of Pearl, [player_tooltip player_id="344089" first="Taccofah" last="Lewis"] is one of the most intriguing offensive line prospects in the 2024 class. Listed at 6’4" 270, Lewis has great length in his arms and has the perfect frame to fill out and become a special player at the next level. He displays good lower body flexibility and bends easily into his stance. Lewis fires off the ball and plays with good pad level. As a pass protector, Lewis has a great set and can mirror edge defenders well using his quick and active feet. In the run game, he can easily work to the second level and has a lot of natural toughness and strength to him. Look for colleges to start checking out Lewis in only a matter of time. He has all the tools that are highly sought after.

A physical tackle prospect out of Lake Cormorant, [player_tooltip player_id="346263" first="Hampton" last="Fisher"] has some gritty and fun tape to watch. The big bodied lineman stands at a listed 6’4" 290 and has the frame to keep expanding and building muscle. Fisher seems to love contact, as he routinely bullies defenders into the dirt. This is a naturally strong kid who has a powerful upper body combined with a powerful lower body - a pretty good combo to have on the o-line. Fisher thrives in the run game and could end up being a higher valued prospect on the interior. If you let this guy get hands on, it is game over. Fisher will routinely drive linebackers and edge rushers to the sideline, creating some big holes to run behind. Talented player who has a big future ahead of him.

The Tupelo offensive line could be one of the best in the state. [player_tooltip player_id="344055" first="Michael" last="Wallace"] is the talented right guard for the unity standing at 6’3" 270. Wallace is an athletic guard that could draw some attention at either tackle position based on potential scheme. Wallace has great athleticism and moves very well in space. He does a great job at blocking in both gap and zone based run concepts. Wallace is a technician of an offensive lineman and uses his hands well. He gets good placement and can bend with his defender to open up holes for the ball carrier. Excited to watch the rising juniors 2022 season and expecting some big things from him this year.
