Continue ReadingAs we inch closer to summer camp season, where a lot of prospects will move the needle and impress college coaches towards extending an offer, here we are looking at the guys from the offensive side of the ball who are considered under the radar at the moment and worthy enough of making it to the next level.
While we have ranked the 2023 in-state class already, there are several guys who are underrated at the moment and have a chance this summer to increase their stock and finally receive those elusive offers.
1. (RB) Bralyn Taylor Bralyn Taylor 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Dyer Co. | 2023 State TN (5’10 185) – Dyer Co.
PRZTN Ranking: 82nd overall Position Ranking: 3rd
– At this point in the 2023 recruiting cycle, Taylor has yet to receive his 1st college offer but yet he ranks in the top three backs in this state. He is a dynamic runner with breakaway speed and the ability to find the end zone whenever the ball touches his hands. Taylor is also well balanced with a strong lower base that defenders have a hard time grasping onto and bringing down. According to my scouting eyes, this West Tennessee back is a D1, FCS talent that is simply laying under the radar right now but has the juice to turn some heads during college camp season next month. Before it’s all said and done, Taylor will achieve those elusive offers and make his way into the college ranks.

2. (QB) Charles Robinson Charles Robinson 6'1" | 165 lbs | QB Webb | 2023 TN , Jr (6’1 185) – Knox. Webb
PRZTN Ranking: 122nd overall Position Ranking: 12th
– Many people around the recruiting scene don’t know too much about this East Tennessee product other than those in this state but let me tell you that Robinson, Jr can spit it and he shows strong upside to compete on the college gridiron one day. This Spartans signal caller does hold an offer from Army and interest from several others but his recruiting has yet to take off like I thought it would when I had Robinson, Jr at our #PRZTN combine back in the winter. This guy has a big right arm with clean mechanics but is also a tremendous athlete that was recently clocked at 4.47 in the forty. Look for this gunslinger to be a breakout star on the camp scene this summer and finally take himself off the underrated list.

3. (WR) Anthony Crowell Anthony Crowell 5'9" | 165 lbs | WR Lebanon | 2023 State TN (5’9 165) – Lebanon
PRZTN Ranking: 81st overall Position Ranking: 14th
– Crowell is an explosive, playmaking wideout that has been a consistent performer for his Blue Devils team over the past two years but that production has yet to lead towards an increase with his college recruitment. This Middle Tennessee receiver has picked up an offer from Army and interest from several others but he has yet to really take off but that should hopefully change over the next two months. Crowell may be a bit undersized but he brings a variety of skills to the football field that play up well on the college level. He is quick off the snap and can explode into the open field in a hurry. Crowell also plays bigger than his size. He is a dependable wideout that can be utilized in multiple ways and college coaches need to start recognizing these skills quickly.

4. (T/G) Misan Sisk Misan Sisk 6'6" | 290 lbs | OL MASE | 2023 State TN (6’6 295) – M.A.H.S.
PRZTN Ranking: 84th overall Position Ranking: 18th
– The West Tennessee region isn’t as strong on the O-line as it has been in the past but Sisk is one of the best and someone that I feel that is sitting under the recruiting radar currently but has the chops to increase his stock over the coming months. Sisk is a big boy that can play several roles across the O-line and even stay outside at tackle on the collegiate level. He already holds a few FCS offers at the moment but his size, physical traits and upside warrants bigger looks. This coming summer camp season will be big for this Memphis area prospect as he is a guy that will step onto a campus and immediately look the part, which will intrigue coaches but it’s how he moves that will push those coaches to extend him an official offer.
5. (WR) Reed Linder Reed Linder 5'10" | 180 lbs | WR Briarcrest Christian | 2023 State TN (5’10 180) – Briarcrest Christian
PRZTN Ranking: 100th overall Position Ranking: 17th
– Ask any coach from the D2-Class AAA region and they will tell you that Linder is one of the more talented receivers they have faced over the last few years and a guy they circle in their pre-game notes to watch out for. The Saints slot receiver is simply a playmaker that knows how to get open and come down with those clutch catches. Linder is well built physically along with deceptive speed that opposing defenders have a hard time keeping up with. His biggest knock is that he may be a bit undersized but that doesn’t matter when he steps onto the field. Linder is a legit baller that is still waiting for those college offers to arrive. Watch for this West Tennessee star to become a well liked camp prospect by college coaches over the next two months.

6. (RB) Jamarion Dowell Jamarion Dowell 5'8" | 165 lbs | RB Covington | 2023 State TN (5’8 165) – Covington
PRZTN Ranking: 110th overall Position Ranking: 9th
– One of the top returning rushers by numbers is Dowell and while he does hold a few FCS offers to this point, this fast and elusive West Tennessee still sits a bit under the radar. The Chargers stud running back may be viewed by college coaches as undersized but Dowell plays much bigger and he runs with a fearless running style that plays up well on the collegiate level. He is a quick burst guy that finds the open field quickly and once he lets loose, it’s hard to slow him down towards the end zone. Dowell is a strong athlete from the backfield that can do a variety of things, which fits inside a college offense well. He is just a guy that will have to prove his worth during camp season next month and keep working at obtaining more college offers.

7. (QB) Sam Driggers Sam Driggers 6'0" | 200 lbs | QB Peabody | 2023 State TN (6’0 200) – Peabody
PRZTN Ranking: Unranked Position Ranking: 18th
– The entire recruiting process has been slow thus far for Driggers but that hasn’t stopped this West Tennessee signal caller from working hard and developing his craft towards hopefully earning those elusive offers very soon. Driggers has put in a lot of work this offseason, increasing his arm strength along with understanding how to get rid of the ball quickly, putting it into his playmakers hands. This is a high football IQ guy that does any and everything it takes to help his team win along with being an ultimate leader. Driggers sits under the radar mainly because he plays on the Class 1A level but let me tell you that you want this guy in your quarterback room because of his smarts, desire and talents that will make everyone else better.

8. (OG) Leo Gonzalez Leo Gonzalez 6'4" | 300 lbs | OL Lenoir City | 2023 State TN (6’4 300) – Lenoir CIty
PRZTN Ranking: 146th overall Position Ranking: 23rd
– A burly physical mauler in the middle, Gonzalez is a big dude that enjoys moving people and shows on the film excellence in run blocking. Coming from a high school program that hasn’t produced a lot of college talent, Gonzalez is a legit recruitable prospect that sits under the radar at the moment but has the physical traits and game play to make it into the college game. He moves well off the snap and gets to the 2nd level well. Gonzalez is well balanced and shows the upside to develop his pass blocking further, which would help him see his recruiting stock rise. It’s unclear at the moment as to how his recruitment will turn out but I know in time, college offers will arrive and maybe a few big ones, if this East Tennessee product performs well during camps this summer.

9. (TE) Drew Evans Drew Evans 6'5" | 225 lbs | TE Dyer Co. | 2023 State TN (6’5 220) – Dyer Co.
PRZTN Ranking: 98th Position Ranking: 6th
– This West Tennessee tight end is one of the more talented players that has yet to receive a college offer but he has the size, skill set and potential that warrants the opportunity to compete at the next level. Evans is a talented young man that has good film and shows why he should be a college recruited prospect. The biggest traits that stand out about Evans is of course his size but also his athleticism and ability to run in open space. He is also able and willing to play on the line and be your strong run blocker that has a good frame to take on added weight. Coming out of Dyer County, Evans plays in a region that doesn’t get much foot traffic by coaches but this guy is worthy of more looks and someone that could be a steal for whoever falls in love with his abilities. Hopefully after a strong camp season by Evans, his stock will rise and no longer be considered an underrated prospect.

10. (WR) Sean Aldridge Sean Aldridge 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR Green Hill | 2023 State TN (5’10 175) – Green Hill
PRZTN Ranking: Unranked Position Ranking: 25th
– Out of all the prospects listed in this article, Aldridge may be the one guy who sits under the radar more than anybody else as this is a talented pass catcher that can do a variety of things on offense that quarterbacks love working with. The Hawks senior wideout is a dependable guy that knows how to get open along with having strong hands and deceptive athleticism and speed. Alridge has increased these abilities a lot this offseason, working with and against some of the best talent in the Middle Tennessee area and I think you will see how much he has improved this coming season. Camp season will be big for Aldridge but his senior film will also be huge towards taking him from under the radar to an offered college prospect.
