Every legitimate team has to have linemen upfront that can control the line of scrimmage and protect the passer. It’s imperative to be able to line it up and knock the defensive linemen back to gain a first down in any situation. A mauler by definition is an offensive linemen who has the ability to come off the ball and create displacement in the run game. These furniture movers are more guys that have stood out to me so far.
Connor Stroh – Wakeland High school- Class of 2023
Connor is a national recruit out of Frisco, Texas. He is a massive, mobile, and mean offensive tackle that scholarship offers from virtually every college in the country. Standing at 6’7 and weighing in around 345 pounds he is the definition of a mailer and a force to be reckoned with. In the run game he does a good job attacking and finishing defenders on the angle he finds them on. He has great feet, active hands and does a good job maintaining his posture throughout his pass sets. He is a elite talent that will be fun to watch this upcoming fall.
Kye Cavin Kye Cavin 6'4" | 265 lbs | OL Rockwall | 2023 State TX – Rockwall High school- Class of 2023
Kye is a versatile 6’4 265 pound prospect out of Rockwall High that made a strong first impression earlier in the year at the Prepredzone Stock-up showcase. He had a very good showing in one on one’s and displayed good body control. He took reps at all five positions on the day and did a great job being urgent and active with the hands. On film he mauled guys in the run game and displayed good bend, urgency, and strain to finish. He is a team captain with a 4.6 GPA and a boatload of potential and it will be interesting to see where he ends up at the next level.
Reggie Wilson – Naaman Forest High school – Class of 2025
Reggie is a massive young recruit out of a loaded Naaman Forest program. He has a great frame, arm length, and a huge lower body that helps him anchor. He’s a name that is newer to the recruiting scene but he looks primed to become a national recruit. At 6’6 290 he still looks very lean and can add mass to his already huge frame. He’s a three-sport athlete that is also a very capable and talented basketball player. Naaman has been recently known for building talented offensive linemen and he is up next to continue the tradition.
Isaiah Zay Robinson – Arlington Lamar- Class of 2023
Zay is a 6’7” 285-pound tackle that has been in my opinion, one of the most improved players in the state. He has picked up a multitude of camp MVP honors. Along with tearing up the camp circuit he was recently selected as an Adidas All American. Zay has done a great job developing his pad level, pass set, and strike. He has accumulated over 30 scholarship offers and has had a great spring on and off the field. It will be exciting to see where the talented tackle decides to take his talents to.
