Some guys look good in shorts but can’t back it up on Friday night. My guarentee is if the article has my name on it, any player in it can play the game at a high level.

Chase is obviously dedicated to his off-season training as his upper body build stood out among all the other backs. He has very nimble footwork for a 190 pound back and caught the ball well through drills and 1 v 1’s. He’s a true North/South Runner but not a ‘three y yards and a cloud of dust’ type. He keeps his head up an reads his blocking well, allowing him to make small jump cuts to get reposition and push up field. In his Junior season for Central Regional High School he had 8 yards per carry and 22 total touchdowns! Chase gave an excellent performance for the 50 plus college coaches in attendance, so I’m sure they’ll be plenty of scouts at his games next year.

Arion Owes, Jr., DB, Bordentown HS
Sometimes a kid is so big for his position he looks out of place. I thought maybe he missed the linebacker workout or something, but then I saw him run. At 6’1, 190 pounds, Arion runs as well as a 160 pound cornerback.
In his film, he’s playing bump and run press coverage. Again, at 190 pounds, and more than holding his own. I was impressed with his ability to turn his hips and stay with much smaller receivers in the open field. He transitions well from pass coverage to run support and closes quickly on ball carriers. So well that I’m pretty sure that one WR who caught a screen pass in front of him is now playing soccer. I believe he projects as a safety at the next level and you heard it here first. Arion Owes is underrated and under recruited, but I don’t think that will last for long.

Kerry Nicholas Kerry Nicholas 5'7" | 175 lbs | RB Bordentown | 2023 State NJ , Jr., RB, Bordentown, NJ
No one in South Jersey football should be unfamiliar with Kerry Nicholas Kerry Nicholas 5'7" | 175 lbs | RB Bordentown | 2023 State NJ at this point, but he gave his usual outstanding performance for the college coaches in attendance. Kerry was a scoring machine in his junior year with 20 touchdown on only 140 carries and 1682 yards rushing. He’s a smooth athlete with the kind of quickness that gives defenses fits. Just when you think he’s down or boxed in uses his great agility to break tackling angles and get up the field for big gains. His 12 yards a carry this season shows he’s a constant big game threat and Kerry will be an instant threat at the next level as he return kicks and punts for Bordentown. Kerry has drawn interest from Division 1 programs Temple and Rutgers.

Anthony Scotto, Jr., OL, Delran
I thought the coaches for the offensive line individual portion of the camp were amazing, and Anthony did a great job through them. He pulled and trapped very well and got a nice wide base before contact with good feet. Those skills really showed in his film. From the tackle position he showed good initial punch on contact and is tenacious in his run blocking. I was particularly impressed at how well he stayed engaged and out leveraged defenders throughout longer developing run plays and he’s a finisher, which I love in my lineman. Anthony availed himself well in front of the coaches and I’m sure he’ll be a leader in that Delran Run game next year.
