To be fair, Stewart already has 10 offers from essentially most of the SEC and Michigan. So announcing I’d offer him right now, isn’t exactly earth-shattering. That stuff aside, I can’t see a way where this isn’t the No.1 overall prospect in the class of 2026 in the state at this point. At 6-foot-5 and 295 pounds, he’s bullying kid four and five years older than him on a consistent basis. He’s different.
Montrell Conner Jr. | Quarterback
Absolutely electric on the football field. I’d be willing to make a hefty wager that he is the fastest Quarterback in the country for the class of 2026. Long term he could move on from Quarterback to capitalize on his jaw-dropping speed, but for right now he is the dictionary definition of dual-threat. Has been verified at a 4.5 in the forty yard dash and an 11.16 in the 100M. He’s a special athlete.
Christopher Sheppard Christopher Sheppard 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR North Caddo | 2026 State LA | Athlete
An absolute presence line up out wide, Sheppard has some of the best hands I have seen in the country for the class of 2026. Stands 6-foot-1 and 170-pounds right now, and is only continuing to get bigger, faster and stronger. Does everything you want a Wide Receiver to do at this level. Has a crazy vertical on film and will win almost every 50/50 ball. Strong hands make one-handed, Odell-like grabs seem routine.
Dylan Berymon | Defensive Line
If it wasn’t for the above mentioned Jahkeem Stewart Jahkeem Stewart 6'6" | 280 lbs | DL St. Augustine | 2026 State LA , Berymon would be right there in the conversation for the top 2026 prospect in the state. At 6-foot-3 and 273-pounds he is an absolute load up front on the defensive line. He’s big, strong and sturdy. Can take on, and defeat, double teams with ease. He has a rare combination of size and athleticism at this point. He’ll be getting offers very soon.
Christian Speight | Defensive Line
Not far behind the other dominant Defensive Linemen on this list is Speight. At 6-foot-3 and 285 pounds he’s another big, athletic young prospect destined to make a name for himself and pick up offers early. Also one of the top wrestlers in the state, he’s a tireless worker with a relentless motor. Wrestling almost always translates favorably to football and for Speight is exceptional at both.
Lamar Brown Lamar Brown 6'4" | 260 lbs | OL University Lab | 2026 State LA | Offensive Line
Standing 6-foot-4 and 270 pounds, we last covered Brown back in November when he first jumped on our radar. Since then he’s grown an inch and added nearly 10 more pounds to his already impressive frame. He’ll be at University Lab School this upcoming season for his freshman year and don’t be surprised if he starts from the jump. Also don’t be surprised if SEC schools are lining up to offer.
